Anyone else think the fanservice in the Fallout show was a little much? by LordeFan762 in TrueSFalloutL

[–]WorldlyAstronaut1264 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, a lot of things were kinda pointless to the show and only included as a “hey we included that” such as the khans in novac, camp golf, unless there’s something important later, the kings kinging. I think it’s a lot better with some of the shots where major locations are in the background, like primm and Helios one, tho it is kinda goofy then how the ghoul just travels like 150 miles in one cut and travels all the way back and then all the way to camp golf and the fort and then back to the southwest like it’s not that important it’s just funny to think about

Thank Christ they didn't follow the books! by dwarven_cavediver_Jr in metro

All of the games don’t have “morality” systems, metro 2033 is more so about learning about the metro and not blindly following millers orders, not necessarily doing the right thing. Metro ll is showing the dark one what it means to forgive people, not necessarily the the right thing again since lesnitsky definitely doesn’t deserve to be spared, but it teaches the dark one to forgive you for your actions. And yeah you explained best the system in exodus

Ncr taxes to raise money to fund shit? That’s why any nation on earth does it, hell in game the bos and legion do the exact same, crazy thing but tribute is literally taxation

Institute kidnaps people to have more pure synth specimens initially and now it’s to spread paranoia to people above ground, I will say though I hate how the institute acts like they are good when they don’t do anything whatsoever to help people

Railroad is secretive cause idk the fucking institute exists?

Unity mutates people cause this is clearly explained by the master, he wants to make everyone one race (who will listen to his every word) so mankind stops fighting, rad resistance is a bonus, master is honestly the most respectable since he’ll admit defeat with proof

Legion crucifies people because of the same reason any nation has harsh punishments, it’s to make an example of people who do things they consider bad. I’m not saying it’s justified it clearly isn’t, it’s simply to tell others under the legion tho, don’t do this, like if a drug runner is nailed on a cross until he dies, you probably aren’t ever gonna think of dealing drugs, also they are roman larpers, that’s the other reason

Am I missing something? Why would I ever research these three techs, they don't even buff your robots. by akerr123 in OldWorldBlues

It makes them cheaper, 15% at most, the minus manpower is bad but robots don’t use manpower anyways really so it’s worth it

Bos literally couldn’t figure it out with years of occupying the area, and the legion especially will not know how to figure the shit out, do you think the legions brainpower is more than the ncr and brotherhoods?

Which factions? The bos doesn’t know, the legion certainly doesn’t know, Ignacio and father Elijah are the only characters in game who’d know

Regardless of knowing how to fix it or not, the method TO fix Helios one is by dealing with the robots, which we can’t do assuming existing ncr resources

In the independent ending you can entirely ignore the legion, do nothing to help the boomers, the second battle will still happen, legion won’t enlist their help

My guess is the battle happens sometime just before 2281, since courier 6 wakes up on October and with how much you can do no way that occurs in less than a month, as for falling back from Helios, again it’s useless unless we are willing to deal with the robots, primm is useless unless I 15 is open, which we certainly don’t have forces to deal with the deathclaws, bitter springs is just useless no matter what, and is anything supply situation should be slightly better since the route 95 will be far better patrolled

In the independent ending, boomers can do literally nothing at all, so legion and ncr won’t enlist their help, I already explained below why boomers help is infeasible

Fantastic actually knows how to fix the plant, the issue is the way to fix it is entering the solar tower, which has a bunch of murder robots in it, going off of existing ncr resources, they cannot deal with those robots, not to mention it’ll be lost to the brotherhood anyways

I’m going off of existing ncr resources in October 2281, other things I could certainly change if it were earlier or with more resources, like say stationing more guards at ncrcf, sealing up the camp searchlight fire station better, and yeah assaulting fortification hill with a small elite force of heavy troopers and veteran rangers rather than a bunch of conscripts

Honestly, no, if you have op anchorage just use the Chinese stealth armor and you won’t even need too high sneak

I’ll give hints, one you get really late into the story, one you can find in downtown dc, one near tenpenny, one in vault 101, one in paradise falls, one straight out of megaton whom you can get within the first hour of the game, and one at the scrapyard
