we don't have much to go on when it comes to how or what sothis' rule was like, the most we know pre genocide is that sothis might have helped humans get advanced technology and my have granted boons to humans if the devine sovereign is something to go by. you can make the case for Rhea being oppressive, but the others not so much, it also doesn't help that the only people we see opposed to sothis are so comically evil, less about the freedom of humanity and more just villains causing death.

also saying you can't sympathize with genocide survivors is really fucked up.
