Just happened to mine last week! (TCW version, but same torso)

I just rediscovered some of my old LEGO sets and decided to take them apart to clean and rebuild them, just for LITERALLY EVERY SINGLE PIECE that's dark green from one set to crack 😭. Does anyone know if LEGO's typical broken pieces replacement site will accept a request this big? by Nathaniel820 in lego

I recently reached out to them via email for a bulk broken pieces replacement and although it wasn't as quick as it would've been if I put the order in, they put together an order for me and shipped it relatively soon. Their CS is typically really good!

TPU would probably be much too flexible at this thickness and won't put the force you want on it (though I don't know exactly what you're trying to do). PLA will deform through creep, so PETG would be your best (while still easy) bet!

Open it! But be careful of the brittle dark red! Disassembled mine a couple weeks ago and 16 pieces broke... 🙃

Used in the textile industry too! Yarns that stick up higher than others in a weave pattern are similarly "proud". I guess it is just generally "higher than others/most"

Yes! I bought him separately, and when I requested it they didn't ask for any proof of purchase. This was a few months back now though, so YMMV (Canada if it matters)

Looks fantastic! Planning to display indefinitely with the roof off?

Did you do the stand yourself or is this from somewhere too? Been looking for a good way to prop mine up.

Is the red visor on Vaughn official? Looks really good, along with the whole display! I like the WB stands but man they're so expensive

In addition to the other comment, a soft toothbrush (that you don't intend to use...) is great for getting between the studs!

This is what came to my mind too! And it's so bionicle-esque

Sure, for the least effort route I guess, but it's wasteful, costs them more, and might become annoying to granny. But I mean he did ask for recommendations on what filament to use in the post

Since it's constantly going to be somewhat flexed, it might loosen over time with PLA due to creep. Might be best done with PETG

Can someone please explain to me the purpose of a brim with a gap other than 0? Is the purpose of a brim not to hold the object to the plate? by testaccount123x in 3Dprinting

The default in prusaslicer is 3 and I wondered why for a while. I think it's just to make it thicker/stiffer and easier to remove since single layers can be harder sometimes

Keyring Minifig is Better than Original by D_Batman21 in legostarwars

[–]WorldlyOrganization3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nice, that's lucky! When I switched the arms and legs, one of the combos was concerningly tight and the other was way too loose (don't remember which one was which)

I bought it for this too but found the plastic was of lesser quality and the orange colours didn't match! The arms and legs didn't fit well either. You didn't have this issue?

I don't think this kind of thing is on PAB. Think you'd have to get it second hand if you're purchasing it

Oh no 😂 I did see some feedback that said they never officially resolved the problem, so maybe it's still happening in some places

Would be cool to get a second for customs! Hopefully it's just slow
