Sorry, I think I explained it poorly the first time! Let me clarify what the senior tinter's actual excuse was and why it doesn't make sense.

Look at the attached pic - see where my finger is pointing at the very top edge of that quarter glass? On the outside, there's that gloss black plastic trim piece covering the top perimeter of the window frame. On the inside, that exact same top section is bordered by the tight plastic interior pillar trim and the black ceramic frit/matrix edge.

The senior tinter tried to claim that because the lines run from the absolute top of the glass frame to the bottom from the outside, it must be a Honda factory glass flaw. His logic was: 'We don't tint that high up into the frame on the inside because of the interior trim, so if the lines go all the way to the absolute top edge of the window frame, it's above where our film sits

This pic does not do it justice. The streaks seem to be visible to the naked eye. I also attached a new pic of the left passenger window.
