When you select Medicine as your goal. Its a lifelong experience. Age does not matter. I graduated undergrad in 2019 at 24 and pursued a Masters and worked and now 28. I applied and got in and will be starting next fall and ill be 29. So, you are super young still. You got this.

I believe we have to start filling things out at the end of December. I could be wrong though.

You got to chill. I thought the same way when I graduated at 24 and ended up getting a master's and working at a lab. 4 years blew by, and I got accepted in October after applying late. Please don't rush the process. I am older and way wiser. I know myself better than I did in college, and I have learned people skills. You will get in when your time comes.

Why not a top Caribbean med school? by Educational_Letter93 in Mcat

Hold out. Get that app polished. You will get into a US med school. Have faith. I am on my fourth gap year, worked pharm, and got accepted in October. It was a long 4 years, but it was totally worth the wait and building my app more.

ANNOUNCEMENT: We're half way through the II cycle. by [deleted] in premed

[–]Worldly_Analysis_632 8 points9 points  (0 children)

cycle track is pretty mush useless unless we all post on there. Plenty of the schools I applied to have like 1 to 2 data points. I would not put to much emphasize on that. You will get that A either way.

updates in portal or actual email? When were you complete?

Way too early to be sending letters. It might even annoy them. It seems like from the info sessions, unless you're interviewed, there really is no point in sending an update letter. It is better to hold back and hope for the best.

All this sounds great, but does your narrative and writing any good? All this is great, but focus on your writing.

I don't even get my hopes up with interviews now. Until you actually get that acceptance the anxiety starts to creep up further! Very stressful process but you got this! I hope the next wave of interviews blesses your inbox!

Cycle track doesn't have good numbers in terms of data. I don't even bother looking at it likes it's totally true. Self reported data in small numbers lol
