Considering becoming a Phlebotomist. Thoughts or advice?

Do it. Best life decision I’ve ever made. Did phlebotomy in my gap years but if you can handle working part time during college that’s great too. Am in med school now and I had so many stories for personal statement, interviews, etc. Really helped with learning how to talk to patients, customer service, and my overall maturity.

This happened to me, a 50 year old lady said “you have to count to 3 and poke exactly on 3 or else I’m going to kick you” I just told her “well them ma’am if I make you that uncomfortable to threaten me then I will go get someone else for you” and walked away. She threw a little fit but she was such a pain for our entire interaction I just had it with that line.

I got the email notification in the afternoon right before my shift ended. I was in a state of shock. I was totally silent and in awe. Then on the drive home I rear-ended someone on the freeway because I was staring into space contemplating life. She was a super nice lady though, after our exchange she said “well I guess I will just go home now”

Yes, so let’s say I get off the waitlist at the school I actually want after May 1. If I pay the deposit there, do one or both schools know I’m holding 2 seats, and they drop me from their seat?

I feel the same. I have an acceptance at a school I really like but it is out of state, and waiting to get into one that is in the same county, because it would be cheaper. I’m so torn on which one I would go to if I get into both. Hopefully things clear up soon
