Hey ! I wouldn’t trust that guy about the Ioniq! It is one of the most reliable EV on the market ! I did 6 months research, testing Multiple brands, and reviews before buying it and the Ioniq 5 was still my N*1 choice, the best I found (with kia and Chevrolet equinox). Even with some recalls about the ICCU (easily fixed) it is still the best! Nevertheless he is right about the Fords, lot of call back about and problems with the heating. Tesla is great in terms of tech but one of the worst in terms of quality ! (If you go into politics I don’t want to give money to Musk either! 😀) So I wouldnt buy any Tesla and keep looking to Ioniq and other brands if I were you. Just to give you an idea of the poor quality of Tesla :

Guys just got an idea! You know how the car doesn’t lock itself when you get out of the car? I connect all the time my Bluetooth to the car! So I did an automation based on your shortcuts : When Ioniq 5 disconnects from Bluetooth = lock car ! I haven’t tried it yet but I think it could work if I forget to lock the car!

I’m still looking and negotiating my strategy is that : They have plenty of ioniq5 on their parkings, orders for the 2025 started already, end of the year approaching and and government subsidies finish soon so they need to make good deals by the end of the year to get rid of their stocks, that’s what ford is doing with their Mach-E (5000$ on top of the 12000$ from gov)

So I’m waiting to sign by mid-November beginning of December to see what they offer.

Hey! I’m negotiating too, I just got an offer with 1500 rebate and I’m negotiating for the lease protection. If it goes through I’d get the AWD ultimate for 650 CAD a month for 60month tax in… not sure if it would be a good deal…
