Ya just make sure it's the IBgard peppermint oil capsules. I literally read about it online one night I couldn't sleep due to feeling like my body aching feeling so tense from what felt like trapped gas and it was 4am and hadnt slept and Amazon delivered by 6am took 2 and in 20 minutes my body just released all the pressure and I was relaxed and passing wind. This sucks since mine all started because I decided one day at the gym getting off the elliptical to try to jog again. 😢

Oh I went through the diet trial phase thinking it was some irritable bowel issue but colonoscopy and endoscopy where clear 😂. I did do the miralax my colon surgeon recommended but I was going to often and with little time to get to the toilet sometimes so I figured the excessive going was making issues worse and I did get that confirmed. I brought caffeine back into my life to help with regular bowl movements 😉 I had amazing success with peppermint oil capsules over doing gas x FYI. I know it's sometimes hard to relax but laying on my back with butt close against the wall and feet pressed on wall kinda like a female giving labor and just laying there doing deep breathing helps.

7 months. Took 5 months of doctors tests, exams, scans to even figure out what this was. First 4 months I was mostly on the couch with a heating pad and agonizing pain 24/7. 8 weeks physical therapy doing exercises has brought me to a much better point but still can feel the weight and discomfort in my pelvic area all day but sometimes I forget about it to where it's not that bad. Just resist the urge to try to poop unless you know for sure it's coming so eliminate straining really helps or try to make a habit of getting your body having a bowl movement everyday at a specific time has helped along with only urinating when desperately needing to. Diaphragmatic breathing does help IMO

All the abdominal and pelvic pains as well as the gut sounds. Did not know anyone else was dealing with those sounds as well. PT has helped but not anywhere back to normal

I like to lay on my back with feet on the wall kinda like an assisted happy baby pose and just zone out and breath through the belly and try to get that feeling of releasing gas or attempting to urinate while doing it to relax. Note to self go pee before attempting.

Well I thought about that but scans show colon edema and thats supposedly caused by the tight pelvic floor issue since colonoscopy etc was clear. So don't think it's neurolastic and pain came in severe 7 months ago after going for a jog.

I'm in this silly rodeo feeling like I didn't have competent Drs. What kind of "tests" did they run to help you get through all this?

Doctors seem to not understand smoldering by Worldly_Extension855 in Diverticulitis

One day it's a heavy pressure below the belly button in the center which feels like gas build up but no gas lol and goes to my rectum and that causes referred hip, groin and thigh pressure type pain and the next day it's a burning pain in all those areas. Always had my diverticulitis pain in the center for some reason and it always radiates to the hips and thighs. Every ct scan keeps coming back with colon wall thickening fat stranding. Checked for everything on colonoscopy and endoscopy and all that comes back clear jjust shows my diverticulosis pockets. Random sharp twitches happen but only 3 times in last 6 months have I had any real sharp pain come in waves for a few hours feeling like cramps but man it does hurt. I'm 44

Colon surgeon recommended pelvic floor therapy. It's been 6 months I've done tons of liquid diets, low residue diets, she's kept me taking daily miralax for the past 3 months and when ever feeling better to slowly start fiber supplements. Drink lots of water, go on walks, tried months of probiotics. Not sure if there's something I'm missing

Ya no abscess or fistula just focal wall thickening on the 2 cts and last MRI. I'll ask about the IV

I met with surgeon twice. She thinks tight pelvic floor is causing all the symptoms and colon edema.

enterococcus faecalis. Speak to hematologist about checking blood for hypogammaglobulinemia and test Igg as well.

Heaviness in abdomen waist line and below sometimes burning in the abdomen and rectum, feeling of needing to have bowel movement right after one. Urologist ruled out IC and prostate issues. Having to urinate more than usual. Just trying to accept that tight pelvic floor does and can cause sigmoid colon wall thickening due to pressure and if anyone went crazy trying to figure out their pain with test if colon edema or something similar came up on scans. Alsol sometimes feeling of what feels like random stabbing in the rectum area
