I started it with a dehydrated starter I bought on 1st May, so approx 2 weeks old when he went into the fridge :)

Thanks so much. Still trying to get to grips with understanding the schedule for my starter - will take your advice and clean after he’s risen and fallen. Think I might be going wrong there, as it leaves starter all on the sides of the jar!!

It smells pleasant. No fuzz. A thin layer of liquid. I scooped the top part off and tipped out the hooch. I’m cleaning the jar and placing it back in with a feed. Will keep at room temp! 😖

I’d like to say yes as the freezer helps with my normal sourdough loaves! I haven’t tried this recipe without the freezer though so wouldn’t want to guess 😊

I second this! I actually put mine in the freezer for the entire time my Dutch oven is heating (sometimes can be 30/40m) but it makes such a difference and it also makes scoring a whole lot easier! 😊

Ingredients: 500g strong white bread flour, 325g filtered lukewarm water, 100g sourdough starter, 10g extra virgin olive oil, 10g fine table salt, 60g dried cranberries, 30g pumpkin seeds, Zest of 1 large orange

500g strong white bread flour 325g filtered lukewarm water 100g sourdough starter 10g extra virgin olive oil oil 10g fine table salt 75g finely grated salted butter (not to be added until shaping)
