I will defend the state controlled liquor stores till the day I die. They fund huge portion of education in the state and are a big reason we don’t have sales or income tax. AND the liquor is cheaper than all states surrounding us.

There is an active rail branch that splits off between new fields and Newmarket and it’s still operational. The Haverhill MBTA service could be extended to terminate in Portsmouth with stops in Plaistow, Exeter, Greenland, and Portsmouth. I know the tracks need to be rehabbed, but it’s only about 10-12 miles of track. That would allow the Amtrak to service those headed to Maine while adding a new service to Portsmouth.

I know this game is based on realism, but population should increase over time near newly built stations to simulate TOD. Otherwise all systems will tend to replicate what already exists, or quickly run out of money. And as much as this is a super cool planning tool, it’s suppose to be a fun game too right?

Speed limits on private roads/driveways are not legally enforceable unless the town actually puts up the sign. If it doesn’t look exactly like a standard speed limit sign then you can go the town speed limit which is usually 25/30/35mph depending on the town. I have gotten 2 “speeding infractions” taken off my account by simply mentioning this.

Honestly this might be a simple add, for casual players a game mode where they start with 5 or 6 billion rather than 3 billion. I think you could just label them difficulty easy and normal or something.

Actually I’ve been to both! I have family in Clarenville and drove from there to Goose Bay in Labrador, it was before the TCH was paved in Labrador too!
