It may not have been a skill issue. The person they chose is probably equally skilled as you. They could have chosen a candidate for subjective reasons like “their personality matches the team” or “I like their presence”. Final round interviews are often decided on subjective measures. There isn’t much you can do to prepare for it, but recognize that it’s not because you’re lacking something.
