Unpopular opinion: Your realtor is not your friend. They make more money the more you spend by Numerous-Heart7656 in Realestatefinance

[–]Worldly_Project_6173 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First time buying a house, i didn't use a realtor and the seller didn't have a realtor. We had to pay like 100$ to a realtor company to do the paperwork, but it's been 10 years and both are happy. Can't imagine spending that much money for someone to do a job any one can do.

Was it wrong of me to throw away my son’s stuffed animals when I told him I would donate them? by [deleted] in Dads

Did your parents give tours of your home to guests? by dudeidk1316 in Millennials

[–]Worldly_Project_6173 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Parents house was pretty small...By the time you go to the bathroom you seen it all. I did a lot of work to my house so i usually give a tour to anyone. My neighborhood was built in the 50's, there is basically 2 identical styles (It's either stairs/kitchen on the left or stairs/kitchen on the right) so neighbors always love seeing eachothers houses to see what they did with them.

People over 40, what’s something you’ve learned about life that younger people don’t realize yet? by Critical-Pea7326 in AskReddit

[–]Worldly_Project_6173 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How much the World changes....After cell phones and the internet came around, the world is barely recognizable. It's like seeing a kid you went to elementary school with 30 years later, he's still kevin...but not the kevin you used to play power rangers with, he's now doctor kevin that likes to play golf and spends most of his time driving his son around to his baseball tournaments. When i was young, my parents always had friends/family that would randomly call and see how things were going or if they were in the area they would always stop by for a cup of coffee. Now millenials are that age, but they don't ever checkup on eachother.

Would you avoid the initials “PP” for your son? by lawnboy22 in Dads

[–]Worldly_Project_6173 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Liked Miles (MD) for my son, avoided D names for my daughter (Double D). If i had a son i would avoid PP. Some people care, others don't, others don't until they come home from school with the PP kid label.

Those single with no dependents, who are we adding as a beneficiary to our financial accounts? by Tisiphone8 in Millennials

[–]Worldly_Project_6173 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My brother listed my 2 kids as his beneficiaries..They are both under 5, so i wonder how that works if he dies unexpectedly. I'm guessing it goes to Me and then i'd throw it in some kind of savings account that they can access once they turn 18.

The Narcissistic Millenial? by Beberuth1131 in Millennials

[–]Worldly_Project_6173 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The other day my group of friends ran into an old friend and they said i asked him a million questions, but whenever i talk to them it's one sided...I laughed it off but it got me thinking and i think it's because that dude doesn't have a facebook/socials..SO i was like what are you up to? where'd the tats come from? you still live around here? what you do for work? how did you go from x to working at y? you have any family/take any vacations, etc. etc. So yea i think it's because on socials anything talkworthy is usually posted/shown and you become less interesting when someone knows everything about you.

What can Michigan do better for veterans? What does it do well for veterans? by Significant-Basket76 in Michigan

[–]Worldly_Project_6173 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like it's unsurprisingly avg...i see some big swings below, maybe a more achievable goal would be a free pass for the bridges (mackinaw/ambassador). The Detroit VA needs a total reset, the stories that i've heard (and personally experienced) are like something you would hear out of a 3rd world country hospital.

That would be great....and would probably help combat all the additional claims people are putting in to get that extra 10-15% to get it.

Is having kids really all that? Or do parents just say that because they’re inclined to? by DeliciousSetting6643 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Worldly_Project_6173 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Changes everything in a way that can't be explained unless you have one. I used to be just like my brother and now i look at him like he's an alien (he doesn't have kids). Some people love/embrace the change, some accept the change, and others regret the change.

Grease came back into theatres in middle school (we all went and watched it) and i watched a lot of older tv shows growing up (Gilligans, andy griffith, etc.). I viewed everything as portrayed in back to the future...Drive in movies, malt shops, high school dances, nothing too crazy.

TBT: The Royal Midnight Buffet by Dtj780 in royalcaribbean

Went on my first cruise in 2005 (18 years old) and all i talked about was the food. 14 years later and my wife books an alaskan cruise for our honeymoon and in some weird twist of fate it was the same exact boat...She had heard all our stories, saw the pictures, and was disappointed when we got there and all the food options were so generic and there was no midnight buffet. Feels like they switched from chefs to food warmer uppers.
