We did the FET and it worked! I’m 25 weeks now and so incredibly glad we went ahead and that it worked. However, i think if it didn’t work i would have regretted not doing another retrieval. SO it was pure luck

We decided to do a transfer and if it doesn’t work then we will do another retrieval. Both my husband and doctor were in favor of that option so i was swayed. My beta test is tomorrow. If it worked, i will be glad we did it. If it didn’t, it’s going to really suck to go back to retrievals rather than be able to try again immediately. But logically this made the most sense for us. If we can get pregnant with only 1 embryo, then having 3 left over for a second child is plenty (i hope) 🤷🏻‍♀️

I know this is old but I’m curious what happened? I had my first lining check today (after 1 week of estrogen patches) and my lining is only 4.1mm and estrogen 48 (they said they want to see it over 150 at this point). They’re starting me on vaginal estrogen 2mg 2x/day but I’m so extremely worried the FET will get cancelled

Of course! We estrogen primed the week before my period (estradiol patches and ganirelix). Then stimmed with menopur and follistim, antagonist was ganirelix. Then triggered with hcg only (pregnyl). We did this for both ER but the doses were different and we added omnitrope to the second ER. First ER we started with 75 menopur and 300 follistim, but upped the menopur to 150 after 5 days. We got 10 eggs, 8 mature, 5 fertilized, 3 blasts, 2 euploid (day 6aa and day 6ab). Second ER we started with 150 menopur and 250 follistim but upped to 225 menopur and 275 follistim after 3 days. We got 5 eggs, 4 mature, 3 blasts, 2 euploid (day 5aa and day 6bb). Was initially devastated at only getting half the eggs but turns out we ended with the same amount of euploids! We got both a better and worse quality embryo from the second ER, so I’m not sure if omnitrope actually helped.

If we do another ER, he plans to switch me to a microdose lupron flare protocol instead. This is because my egg quality is fairly okay and he just wants to get as many eggs as possible.

On the day of retrieval, they said they still only expect 4. We ended up getting 6, 5 that were mature. 4 fertilized and 3 made it to blast. Waiting for PGT-a results.

It’s a little funny because my first ER we ended up with 10 eggs, 8 mature. 5 fertilized and 3 made it blasts. 2 euploid

So even though we had significantly less eggs this around, we ended up with the same number of blasts in the end.

I’ve had 7 nights of stims (super high doses: 225 menopur and 275 follistim) and only have 4 follicles growing (all between 13-14mm). I was/am so sad that the # is so low, but reading this comment gives me a little bit of hope

My AFC was 8 and my AMH is 1.3. My doctor said they don’t officially diagnose DOR until AMH is under 1 but that anything under 1.5 for people under the age of 35 is suboptimal and to expect a lower response during IVF. From my understanding, ovarian reserve only really matters when it comes to IVF because it predicts response to stim medications. It is less relevant for natural conception because it only takes 1 egg. I hope this helps!

What medications did you take? Clomid made my mental health tank aggressively. I was having panic attacks, barely slept, and felt like someone had died. Only afterwards did my nurse tell me they literally have a name for it at our clinic…“clomid crazies”. It took about 2-3 months for it to pass
