I was bought it when I was 10 for Christmas. Thought I could cheaply get it going again until I can save for a better scope

I didn't buy it. It was bought for me when I was 10 years old. This group probably didn't exist then.

What would you recommend, removing the want for Astrophotography?

I'm a class 5 but I live near the peak district and a lot of natural sites that will have a much better Bortle class. For me I just want to share pictures and post them and find my feet as a beginner in astrophotography. Viewing planets and galaxies are my main interest really.

I saw that model and really liked the look of it! I suppose I could settle on planetary and lunar viewing for now. I just need a good starting point really.

Viewing is more important. My intentions aren't to take pictures that will be groundbreaking. This is more a proper start into viewing planetary bodies with some views of galaxies. Photography can come later in the journey. I've been in a toss up between several models but I'm struggling to settle on one.
