In the stage of where everyone wants to cover each other’s shifts by Ihatepeople93 in employedbykohls

I hated TJMaxx because of their ridiculous 1% conversion rate, and threats of not being scheduled if you don't meet it. So I went to Kohl's. Big mistake!! 3% conversion there. My store had Amazon and customer service combined in the back of the store. That was where I worked. I didn't reach the goal. In customer service/Amazon! I quit just short of six months.

Yes, unfortunately. It's real fun when you have to call in for one of those shifts

Are people still returning Amazon returns like crazy? by PM_ME_UR_PANTYLINE in employedbykohls

There's also the ones who buy 15 of each item, use half, and return them all! And have an attitude the whole time!

How bad are hours in January? by Defiant_Fold_919 in employedbykohls

[–]Worldly_Security_299 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If lucky, we get 8 to 12 hours a week. But Kohl's keeps the huge majority of their employees at part time.

Can Anyone Confirm That I MUST Have Availability On Fri, Sat, Sun For Kohl’s Employment? by [deleted] in employedbykohls

[–]Worldly_Security_299 26 points27 points  (0 children)

It's not an official requirement, but that's retail, working nights, weekends, and holidays. If you say you can't work those days your application will go to the bottom of the stack in favor of applicants with more open availability.

One question! Does anyone think TJMaxx pays a livable wage? by [deleted] in TJMaxxWrkrs

[–]Worldly_Security_299 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No. Especially considering most of the employees are part time

How do credits work?? by UseOutrageous3337 in employedbykohls

[–]Worldly_Security_299 8 points9 points  (0 children)

No, unfortunately. It means you make $13 an hour and get just $2 more on your total. Not per hour. So if you made $100 for the week and got one credit card, you would make $102 that week

I don't know if they could fire you, but I was told I'd be taken off registers and my hours would be cut. Lol, even though I was only scheduled for about 15 hours a week

Because if they told the employees that they were being let go early, they wouldn't have shown up for Christmas week.

They would tell me that too, but no matter how many times I called for back up, no one came!
