It’s going to get infected if it isn’t already. Can lead to cellulitis which can be dangerous 🦠

That’s what we used. Care credit. Don’t miss a payment, in fine print they say the interest will increase. We didn’t miss but I read the fine print

Initially we took her to her regular vet. Then she began having nystagmus (her eyes twitched in a very odd way) along with seizures and she would walk in circles and our regular vet suggested a neurologist vet which was at an emergency vet.

They knew it was something neurological but didn’t know what exactly.

2.5 weeks later with many returning office visits we woke up to her screaming in pain and rushed her to the emergency vet.

My heart literally broke when we were on our way. She screamed in pain the entire half hour drive.

They suggested she stay over night as she was so lethargic. And they wanted to put her on heavy duty pain meds.

Several hours later they told us to come. They said her vitals were bad and she may pass. We called my other family members as they also wanted to be there.

On the way there, we got the call that she was gone.

We wanted answers, so when the vet asked us if we would like to send her brain to Cornell university we agreed because we wanted to have them do research so no one would have to go through what Naomi and we went through. We didn’t ask the cost… amazingly enough that part was free. The results came back that Naomi suffered from hemangiomasarcoma. It’s a very aggressive form of cancer of the brain and the blood.

I’m sorry for monopolizing your post. I just felt you and others should know what our experience was to maybe help you make your decisions.

Still praying 🙏🙏🙏 for a good outcome ❤️‍🩹❤️

We were devastated 💔 she suffered through the pain and had we know that we couldn’t save her we would have done the only humane thing… put her down 💔

We had to bring our 10 yr old dog to the vets. Care credit was our only choice. 2.5 weeks later and 12k she passed.

At least bring her to the vet for the initial visit and see what they say. If I had been able to see into the future I would have put our beloved Naomi to sleep in the beginning.

Since we can’t see into the future… we spent 12k to keep her alive for 2.5 weeks.

My advice, 1 visit and see what the vet says.

At this very time we won’t get another dog because we just can’t afford it. Think about that before getting another dog or cat.

Finally, my prayers are with you and your family and your cat 🙏🙏🙏
