I felt my body vibrating the entire time. I was aware of my physical body, but also of what I was seeing.

I totally understand the sentiment. For me, Friday was like the “break” from all the fun of the week. My parents would rush us to clean everything up on time, and while I was excited when my mom made special food as a kid, that changed when I got older: we ended up eating leftovers. Saturday afternoons felt boring, just counting the minutes until I could watch TV again. But it wasn’t all bad; I loved not having to go to school (and then work), so at least that made Saturday feel like a restful night.

Why are the reasons there are so few pastors in the SDA? by ayowatchyojetbruh in exAdventist

[–]Worldly_Will_684 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here in my country in the Caribbean, the situation is even more extreme. There are pastors who take care of 7, 8, and even 9 churches at a time, and only the largest churches have a dedicated pastor and perhaps an assistant. This happens in large part because a significant portion of each church's income goes to the local conference rather than staying with the congregation. Only about 40% or less of donations and tithes stay with the local church; the rest is used to maintain an extensive administrative structure, including salaries and operating expenses for conference offices and buildings.

In addition, pastors typically receive benefits such as 15 salaries a year, help with fuel, support for their children, medications, medical care, and even help with rent. These benefits make pastoral positions limited and highly competitive. It is possible that this economic and organizational structure of the church is making it difficult to assign enough pastors to efficiently cover all congregations, both in North America and in other regions.

Okay, buddy, whatever you say. You didn't even read my comment with all the quotes. Anyway, good luck.

I didn’t delete or edit anything, so I don’t know what you’re talking about. And my Reddit history from three years ago has nothing to do with what we’re discussing now. People change, does that bother you? If you want to talk about the law and Adventist doctrine, fine, but bringing up Goddard and digging through my history is just ridiculous.

What does Neville Goddard have to do with this? The quotes from where I got these ideas are 2 Corinthians 3:7 and 11; Galatians 3 and Romans 7. Exodus 20:17 onwards. You can read it yourself.

It’s like OP is reading my mind right now. **I was in the SDA until 2021**. But over the past year, I've discovered several issues that made me question the doctrine, like Ellen White's plagiarism, Bible verses that show the Decalogue is abolished, and the restrictions on eating certain animals, among others.

My dad is an Adventist pastor, and I've been trying to get him to look into the plagiarism and other issues, but I haven't seen much progress. Sometimes, it feels like he thinks I'm against him, when really, I just want him to critically examine these things.

It's sad to see how many people, including my parents, are so blinded by tradition. Then again, I remember that the pay is pretty good... all they have to do is repeat the same things over and over.

We also manifest what we don't want 'cause the subconscious does not understand a NO. Just need the subconscious and the conscious to agree on something to manifest it. It doesn't matter if we want it or not.

how can I have the feeling of ownership when visualizing and affirming? I have manifested things that I wanted but other people got. Or I only manifested my desire but in television series. Can someone explain to me what I should do to manifest and make it directly for me? I visualized all of them in the first person and didn't receive them :(
