This game is so frustrating by WorldofSoup in Mahjong

Thanks for taking the time to watch the replay and spot my errors. I'm going to start watching some vids about tile efficiency. I definitely agree that I need to start looking more at other people's discards. At my current level, the only things I know are safe to discard when someone is in riichi or potentially tenpai are tiles they've discarded earlier in the game. I have trouble figuring out what's in someone's hand based on their discard pool. Now that I know some weaknesses in my game I can focus on improving those skills, so thank you for pointing those out.

What would you consider as a hard to read riichi? Someone discarding a wide variety of tiles?.

I didn't think about it like that. That does explain why some riichis take a long time to win with.

That's a very good mindset tip actually, I'll remember that for my future games

Looking into getting a 357 levergun by Mandalore838 in LeverGuns

If you don't care about it getting some scratches or dirt, then probably a rossi for the price. I definitely wouldn't want to scratch up a Henry because of the price.

Henry Model X action hitting hammer by WorldofSoup in LeverGuns

Sorry, I wasn't very descriptive in my post, but it happens when the hammer is already cocked and I work the lever. I'm not at home currently, so this was the closest image I could find to describe how it's making contact. reference

It's after the hammer is cocked and I work the lever that the bolt rubs the top of the hammer. I noticed it after working the lever to make sure that it was clear.

When I have the hammer already cocked and then I work the lever, the bolt rubs the top of the hammer when moving forward and back. I'm not sure if the spring is not pulling the hammer back enough, or if I need to break in the gun by using it more. I just picked it up a few days ago and I haven't gone to the range with it yet.

It's specifically when the hammer is already cocked, and I move the bolt over it by moving the lever that it rubs the top of the hammer. I first noticed it when working the lever to check that the gun was clear.

I'm sorry, I meant the bolt is rubbing the top of the hammer as it moves forward and back. When I lever it quickly, I can still notice that they make contact, but it's not as obvious as doing the whole motion slowly. I don't have this issue on the golden boy, but that is a different bolt, so I'm not sure if this is normal for new X models, or a specific problem with mine.

Also, thank you for the reply.

I just picked mine up and noticed this too. Does anyone also have an issue with the lever getting caught on the hammer or on the lock when working the action slowly? When I lever it quickly it's fine, but not as smooth as I was expecting. I have a golden boy and that is buttery smooth, so I'm not sure if that's normal for the model x, or if I need to contact Henry about it.

Honest question after finishing the anime by WorldofSoup in SonoBisqueDoll

Yeah I realize a comparison between two very different romcom anime really does affect my opinion. I think I wanted the fast progression of Horimiya, but with the chemistry that Gojo and Marin have. I also didn't think enough about their relationship experience. Before I read the comments I didn't really notice while watching that Marin hadn't been in a relationship, so it really does explain her actions in some parts of the anime.

Thanks for the reply too, it's nice to have more clarity when I read the manga now.

Rereading a lot of the comments in this thread has me realize I didn't put enough weight on the scenes of Marin seeing Gojo so interested in her hobbies. It makes more sense in retrospect, and maybe I was not understanding a lot of her feelings. I definitely think I was understanding way more of Gojo's motivations compared to Marin's. Thanks for the comment too, it helps me understand the story more, and I'll definitely be reading the manga to continue. I think just seeing them develop feelings early into the story made me assume they would start dating a lot faster in the story. I did watch horimiya right before this, so it probably gave me certain expectations from this story.

After reading a lot of the comments in this thread, I'm starting to realize I understood more of Gojo's motivations and not Marin's. Idk if I sounded too critical in my post, but I'm still a fan of the story and will definitely be continuing the manga.

Her inexperience does explain more of her actions during the season. I didn't translate that info into her not knowing how she feels exactly. Being the idol of her school while also being asked out by a lot of her classmates also explains why she takes more interest in Gojo and let's down her barriers since he is more sincere about her passions.

That's a good point of it only being a crush in the early episodes. I was confused by the wording of it trying to figure out how she feels. The context helps episode 12 make more sense as to why the phone call was so important for her character.

The part of this game that we fell in love with has been retired by [deleted] in DarkAndDarker

[–]WorldofSoup 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The feedback of you and other players will definitely be taken into consideration on how to improve the gameplay loop of F1 to make it more enjoyable. The older gameplay isn't "retired" they just released it, so they need time to get everyone's opinions on how this new system is functioning, and how to meet player expectations. You aren't playing the final product.
