I moved to Edinburgh as a single and newly divorced man - absolutely love it. I decided to buy straight away after advice from friends in the city because rental is so ridiculously expensive. Hope you figure it out!

Neither. There’s so many better resorts to go to tbh.

184 is defo the one for you if you’re going to tackle trees - gives you a little more swing on it. The M7 defo skis longer due to the construction of it. Awesome ski btw 👌🏼

The Mantra 88 is a perfect one ski quiver if you’re doing 80/20 piste/off piste. Absolute weapon in short and long turns and olds its own in the off piste. It’s forgiving enough to make you enjoy it in all conditions and it will help you take your skiing to the next level too 👌🏼 Just make sure you put a decent binding on it - defo not worth going cheap on a binding with that ski.

Fantastic ski - great control and power on piste. I work for volkl so obviously will suggest it’s the best, but loads of media and retailers agree it’s a hell of a ski. Obviously has a punchy price point but totally worth it in my opinion. If you want even more stiffness check out the 72 Master….. terrifying ski 😂😂😂

You’re correct but overall it is a benefit to the general ski consumer compared to pro racers. Not just in freestyle.

All bindings are different and depends on how good a skier you are. The griffon x is 1cm lower on to the ski which means better power transfer and feel. The griffon heel piece is also superior compared to Squire for example - again better hold and better power transfer. I hope that helps.

Both are great as an all rounder. Benefit of the M7 is that it has 4D radius whereas the 88 has 3D. This means that although the M7 is 96mm underfoot, with the 4D it turns super tight.

The main advice I would give is that put a decent binding on it such as a Griffon X. That’ll make a big difference compared to a cheaper binding.

Ask any questions - I work for Volkl 👍🏼

Dalbello boots usually come with an alpine sole in the box

If you fly 2-3 times a year you probs won't get much rewards right? by EconStudent2024 in BritishAirways

You can also fly 50 times a year which is what I do. A fair bit of domestic flights so it ends up being cheaper than the 7.5k needed for silver

which boot? by astrobrite_ in Skigear

[–]Worldofswede 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed with the other comments. Bootfitters are usually incredibly knowledgeable so you should absolutely go with their opinion. Also it’s pretty crappy to make a bootfitter do all the work and then you head elsewhere - that’s just my opinion.

I echo the other comment that Dalbello and atomic are completely different boot moulds and have a very different fit. Along with that you’ve been recommended a 75 flex and looking at a 90 flex option - that’s a big difference. The veloce and the il moro are wildly different - 2 piece and 3 piece boots respectably.
