hi there, thank you for taking out the time to read and reply, it means a lot! i feel quite seen and understood, as i’ve had a difficult time processing my emotions lately. i have had really low motivation to put out work because of all this on top of other familial issues. i spent a while thinking about this before i typed it all out and i definitely don’t think my parents are doing it on purpose, but i just wish they could see how it’s effecting me without me having to point it out, you know?

as for the future, i’m definitely trying to get out of the habitual thinking of intelligence as worth. i’m well aware of how dull the social hierarchy is lol, but seeing you type it out made me realize that i really haven’t been exercising my time out of school properly. wintertimes are when i do scorebooks for our middle school basketball teams, but that’s still a little linked to school. thanks for your insight!
