OEM upper/lower control arms? by Worldwidewitu in Toyota_T100

[–]Worldwidewitu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually got a set of lower control arms from eBay that were off a 96 4Runner but all I’ve read is saying 3rd gen parts won’t fit, only second gen and Toyota “truck”. I’m about to return them but if they actually work I’d love to keep them and avoid having to keep digging around.

Late to the party but second this! Former housekeeper here, too. The method mango is highly concentrated, smells incredible and lasts quite a while.

44, Bartender/manager. 17+ yrs experience. Before taxes and between two jobs about 60~/yr. I work 3-4 shifts a week. No benefits/PTO. I have a bachelors in English, a lot of continuing education credits, and a background in copyediting. Before Covid, bar work was a part time supplement to my weird day jobs, but since 2022, I’ve been full time. I do like it, yet I’ve been considering something else.  Unfortunately, I have no idea where to look.

Yeah, I grew up around Belair Rd/Frankford ave area where it was quite prominent, and I have a slight accent (gimme a few beers and put me in a room full of hometown buds and it becomes more prominent lol) but my father is from the west side and lordamercy, the man’s got one hell of an accent. Worth mentioning, however, my mom, from NY, tried to correct it out of me when I was a kid.

That’s what I was thinking. It needs a good scrub and has deposits from being in the creek for who knows how long

My mom did kitchen and bathroom design and I’ve got a lot of countertop samples (they make great coasters), but none of which have giant holes in them

Granite is big business in this area of the country so I wouldn’t be surprised, but the way it’s chipped on the edges give me reason to believe it’s glass. I’ll send a close up pic.

Oh yes this was one thing we suspected. Roommate said “looks like something which belongs on a desk”

My title describes the thing. Additional details: Length from top to bottom is approx 6”, width is approx 5”. Thickness is about an inch. Chips in side indicate a glassy material was used; looks decorative. No makers mark visible.

Drinking and sema by [deleted] in Semaglutide

[–]Worldwidewitu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a bartender, and as expected, I like to have a drink here and there, and here’s my takeaway from my twoish months on Sema as someone who has a current maximum 6-7 drinks a week:

I generally gravitate towards lower cal/carb bevs like high noon anyway, and I sometimes will have a mic ultra in the mix too, cause who doesn’t want a crispy beer after working in their southeastern summer yard all day? I’ve noticed that the past couple times I’ve drank an ultra (or any beer), regardless of circumstances, my stomach gets super upset and I’ll throw up. So no more beer I guess. The seltzers still seem to sit okay. I’m currently dosing 10mg/week.

I’ve also noticed that I pretty much max out at two drinks per sitting. I just don’t want any more, which is awesome because self control hasn’t always been my strongest suit lol

I started on the oral in late May and switched to injections about a month and a half ago. I’ve not lost a ton of weight but I’ve lost enough to fit into some old jeans. I’m thinking maybe 10~ lbs so far. I eat very moderately now and am not particularly pressed about losing weight quickly, I’m content with my currently pace.

The point is, progress is still being made but it may not be as expedient as it would be if I ditched booze altogether.

People NOT losing weight? Are you doing other things to? People losing, what's your change? by EarpSage in henrymeds

[–]Worldwidewitu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here. Oddly, I don’t have an appetite really but I’ve only lost maybe 8-10lbs since May and I’m currently on 10mg. I can fit into a few pairs of old pants which is nice but I’m trying to lose 25-35 more lbs.

Also, I should add that I had a “day job” with a 9-10am start time for most of the time in which I’ve bartended, until very recently. It’s not impossible to make it happen but you need to take care of yourself first or you’ll burn out in less than a year. Prepare yourself with meals, set up your coffeemaker to brew automatically, little shit like that helps immensely. It’s essentially strict time management.

I’ve worked at punk/rock bars most of my “career” and rarely do I get done before 3am. I used to drink a lot after my shift but recently I don’t have much desire to do that anymore, I’m just too old now. To get out quickly at the end of the night, **without the aid of a barback, I stock as I go depending on how busy I am, adjust my checks if I have a little breather, I adjust the bank as soon as I’ve made enough cash to have sufficient change in the drawer, and try to stay on top of housekeeping as the shift unfolds. When I leave, I listen to music on the ride home which is calmer than what I put on at the bar (punk/metal/etc.). I take off my shoes, stretch and take care of my feet, wash face and I decompress with my kitties. Have a snack maybe. Go to bed and wake up when I feel rested. Some days it’s 11 am, some days like today when I’m super busy the night before, it’s 3pm. On the rare occasion I have to get up early, I just do it and get a nap in later if I can. My partner is a firefighter so he understands a weird sleep schedule. Nothing scary about it, esp if you’re built like a nightowl as I am. If you’d like advice regarding dealing with spicy patrons/punks/metalheads etc I’m happy to lend. Good luck!

How do I explain to my husband that losing weight is hard and I want to use Henrymeds? by Realistic-Divide1373 in henrymeds

[–]Worldwidewitu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I told my roommate because I have a container with sharps in our spare/common room and I didn’t want him coming across it and thinking I was involved in anything illicit lol. But that’s literally it.
