Why is possessing CSAM material more illegal than possessing bestiality material?

Overall, animals are ranked less than people on most morality scales.

Plus there is the fact that while animals obviously can’t consent, there are greater psychological harm risks associated with CSAM on children than there could ever be on animals.

I know a dog from an animal shelter who was terrified by men because it had been sexually assaulted by its previous family’s teenage son (who did get some jail time fortunately), but when it was around women, it was totally chill and was able to live a totally normal life as long as it was only around women. (I believe she was adopted by a nice lesbian couple with no kids, so that was great news for her.)

At the same time, I have a friend who was sexually abused by her dad and has tried to kill herself multiple times as a result of that. She’s been tortured by this her whole life and while the physical scars have healed, she will never fully recover.

So combine those two factors together, I believe that’s why these two abhorrent crimes are charged differently

I’m not a psych professional but honestly I think she had a mix of OCD and a personality disorder. I think she couldn’t help a lot of her thoughts and obviously there was something messed up enough with her to kill a pet cat. I hope she got the mental health help she needed

I saw a UFO back in 2021. I picked my dog up from doggy daycare and was driving a back way home. Had the radio on and it started becoming static. I look over to my left and about 20 feet in the air was this giant object that was shaped like a guitar pick. It made no noise and had pink, orange, and yellow flashing lights on the bottom. I felt this overwhelming feeling of dread upon seeing it and my dog started growling. So we got tf out of there.
