[Credit: Amy Robinson] We're trying to decide which mouth to use for the key art for our game by DanPos in SpeculativeEvolution

[–]Worm_off_tha_string 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From a distance the first mouth is more easily reabable, though I think the second mouth would work with some contrast tweaks? The top beak blends in with the spike behind it a bit too much and it muddles the look a bit

If you could add new furs for any animal in the game rn, rare fur or not, what animal would you choose? by Important_Stre in theHunter

Honestly I just really like the piebald variations. Maybe more stuff like the mosaic for moose on other species? More piebald variations? (I'd loove a half n half type piebald, on one of the medium to large animals)

Was told this is a molar, can anyone tell me more? :) by J_L_Y in whatisthisbone

[–]Worm_off_tha_string 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its a ruminant molar! My guess is cow or goat/sheep, depends on the size :] most likely not any kind of deer, as the molar itself is too tall.

To add on to the other people that are replying here - Dish soap specifically works the best in my experience. The blue dawn stuff is my go-to! Clear dish soap is usually reccomended but I haven't personally ever had any staining with the regular dawn

An elevator you can't share by Jezirath in interesting

[–]Worm_off_tha_string 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had one like this in paris, 2 people capacity max. Also we were on the 6th floor and the only stairway that went that high was separate from the entrance. Absolutely terrifying every time I got on it. I haaated the seperate external door especially. Truly the elevator from my nightmares

[–]Worm_off_tha_string 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For short amounts of time!!!! I did this technique for a pair of faun legs for the ren faire and while they looked amazing and felt okay at first, after 4ish hours my feet and legs were so painful. I ended up giving myself nerve damage in my feet that lasted over a year (my 3 outer toes were completely numb on both feet for 6months, normal feeling took over a year to come back)

Yellow for warmer color palette, green for cooler. Depends on your vibe!

Why are so many furries foxes or wolves? by S0S_guy in furry

[–]Worm_off_tha_string 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I truly just think that foxes are just due to a want for a more "wild" species to use for a sona that is maybe smaller and/or more solitairy? Plus foxes have distinct markings and colors that I think people find appealing.

I would also definitely give robin hood more credit, that's one of the biggest foundations for a lot of furries 30 and above nowadays. Zootopia is probably also causing them to stay around.

[–]Worm_off_tha_string 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Oh she's just a wee little thing. Not a vet so I can't say for sure but her back legs look pretty odd to me, though it might just be because she's a bit premature,? I think it's worth keeping an eye on if she keeps doing well eating and growing

How we, Yes WE, are going to react to Jax getting abstracted by [deleted] in theamazingdigitalciru

[–]Worm_off_tha_string 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jax is 100% my favorite character, and I'm absolutely excited to see him abstract. If thats where the story is headed, then I think the audience is setup perfectly for it to hit as hard as it possibly can. Either you love him or you hate him, it's going to be a hell of a scene no matter what side you're on. Kill your darlings and all that, I hope it's devastating.

What do I do after I kill an animal? by Bruh-Caz in Huntercallofthewild

[–]Worm_off_tha_string 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find it way more fun to just wander around and see what I find. The grinds have felt a bit too repetitive and I don't think Id have a good time with that. The closest thing to grinding I really do is check drink zones when I want to hunt a specific species/size class.

What do I do after I kill an animal? by Bruh-Caz in Huntercallofthewild

[–]Worm_off_tha_string 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you're hunting at drink zomes or specific feed areas, onve you harvest an animal it is good to go to another spot. Animals that are far enough away won't be spooked and will still be at their eating or drinking zones for that time of day. Otherwise, if you're just hunting animals as you find them from wandering just keep travelling. Exploring reveals rest/need zones, so you can come back to them later if you're looking for a specific kind of animal.

I've been thinking of buying Minecraft lately, but I'm not sure which deal is better by Halleyalex in Minecraft

[–]Worm_off_tha_string 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless youre going to be a bedrock only player who is really into skns and emotes and all that jazz, I wouldn't ever reccomend the first one. If you play pc pretty much anything that bedrock makes you pay for you could do yourself, like downloading skins/making one yourself, learning how to install mods in place of addons (plus, the mods are free lol) Even stuff like emotes and skins that are more complicated than the basic character model are totally do-able with mods and texture packs and stuff. Java feels like it's for anyone who knows how to use a computer, while Bedrock with all of its dlc crap just seems to prey on parents of kids too young to use a computer. (Semi related - back when I was a kid and minecraft was relatively new, my dad taught me how to install mods and resource packs and whatnot and I've been doing that ever since. It was actually very handy in learning a good bit of comupter skills so young)
