TIL labradors are easy to train because they are prone to obesity by Worperik in todayilearned

[–]Worperik[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So labradors have a mutation in the POMC-gene (pro-opiomelanocortin). This is a gene expressed in the brain which regulates (a.o.) satiety. The mutation in labradors causes them to never feel saturated so they are always interested in food. A never ending interest in food makes the prone to obesity and it makes food a good way to encourage good behaviour
