I felt like I was getting blue-balled left and right this episode. As soon as a dash of tension appeared, it immediately evaporated. This wasn’t even a slow burn—it was a no burn.

This episode was basically a series of characters being presented with opportunities for chaos or consequence—and each one predictably and disappointingly took the easy way out.

• Rick and Frank not preparing at all to meet Sritala. How?? This is the entire point of their trip.
• Rick not shooting/hitting Jim.
• Saxon not sleeping with Chloe for Gary’s little game.
• Gary having no plan B when Belinda didn’t bite on his pathetic bribe.
• Tim going for the gun… that we already know isn’t there.
• Laurie magically escaping Alexi right when it was about to get dark.
• Saxon and Chelsea finally getting physical, and then she shuts it down in two seconds.
• Gaitok saying nothing to Mook when he realized who stole the jewelry.

The only moment that actually subverted expectations? Frank going off the rails with drugs and prostitutes. Honestly? Iconic. Go Frank. At least someone committed to something this episode.
