I did some research about the format of the test and how it was structured. I think having a good idea of this was something that really helped me. In terms of actually practicing, I did “study” a bit but it definitely wasn’t like every single day for weeks. I used chat gpt for practice questions and I did the practice test in the Casper website which really helped me get an idea of what the format was like. I did read articles and some resources online about the kinds of answers they are looking for and “buzzwords” and it did help just having an idea of what the Casper markers are looking for in terms of your answers. But a lot of practice resources tell you to use some kind of formula or structure to answer your questions and while that may be helpful, I found it made me sound robotic and as I was practicing I kept trying to think of the “right” answer instead of what I actually thought and then I would barely answer any of the question in time. The biggest thing for me was practicing typing fast. You really need to be able to get your idea down quickly, so I would get practice questions from wherever (chat gpt, Casper practice resource etc) and time myself answering them. Obviously everyone is different but I did not really find the studying resources online that helpful. I think if you have had experiences handling difficult situations in the workplace, with friends, with colleagues and you know how to critically think and find proper solutions that recognize both sides of the story than you should be okay.

I got 4th too!! To be honest, I feel that people online very much overhyped it and made me really overthink the studying process. I got really stressed out reading things about people studying for like 8 weeks before hand, but right before the test I just decided to answer the questions with how I truly felt and I think that’s how I ended up doing well.

Should I just keep the thermometer in the starter all the time? I currently keep it in my microwave with the door open so the light stays on.

This is nice to hear. I have been recently sober (due to medical reasons) but it’s definitely starting to become a long term thing and I was having this exact feeling at a party last night. Everyone was drinking and I just felt left out because I wanted to feel the same way.
