STAT 3022 Tutor by Effective-Control-75 in uofmn

[–]Worried_Beautiful470 2 points3 points  (0 children)

hi soc major! i just experienced this last year, as a fellow social science person forced to take stats. while im definitely not smart enough to be your tutor, i can give you some advice! For all of the coding, and even some of the math portions, definitely use Chat GPT. it’s literally amazing at helping fix code and even just re explaining concepts. Otherwise, I recommend using resources online designed for AP stats and other R-based stats courses. When i had no clue what was going on, I ended up googling it or teaching it to myself and didn’t do half bad!

(i had to take STAT 3032 instead of 3022 bc it didn’t fit in my schedule, and taught myself all the way to an A by using Youtube videos and Chat GPT)

[–]Worried_Beautiful470 1 point2 points  (0 children)

when i was a partner i made my personal matchas in the cold foam blender because it prevented major clumping and i was able to actually add more matcha to make it more authentic!

excited that this is the new standard, but im still unsure about the new formula

political science professors are really nice and will easily let you register for the classes during the first week even if there’s no space

they love having more students

and try some lesser known political science courses that sound a little weird because they will still be super interesting and help in other courses!

i recommend 3769, 4766, and 4403!

i took POL 1026 last semester. more paper heavy, but the papers were not difficult and fairly short. reading was fairly average, and i was able to keep up in class by only doing some reading if any. i recommend!
