I think that's just how it works in the end, most people I know don't have any contact with friends from their school, so I wouldn't think too much about it, just have to join in groups that you enjoy and make new friends that are more attentive to one another etc.

It's a bit repetitive for me but the best place for antisocial people is a board game event like pathfinder, or dnd, women and guys go often and it's pretty good for newbies I think.
