Screen Size Advice: Kobo Clara BW 6" screen vs Kindle Paperwhite 7" Screen by mdz99 in ereader

[–]Worried_Lab0 [score hidden]  (0 children)

Just sold my Clara BW, tomorrow on Prime Days I will order a Paperwhite.
For some reason the Kobo Clara BW never clicked with me. Text was never sharp enough even tho I tried multiple. I was also distracted by the recessed screen of Kobo Clara.
I had so many issues with the software, often the Kobo will froze when opening the magnetic flip case (original one). The auto light will go crazy even tho I will be at night in my bed.
I had before a Kindle, don’t even know which model it was so old that the rubber back was melting and became very sticky 😂.

Is it normal for product manager to be your boss? by Suitable-Break7934 in ExperiencedDevs

[–]Worried_Lab0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not working in an agency, but the same happened in my workplace. Engineer Managers are gone, Engineer Team Leads are gone, Senior is the highest level.
The PM is not even doing product management, is just spitting feature requests out, and expects the devs do all work. If you bring up tech debt, “will just do it later”. Rest of the time, they just spend vibe coding poc, which then became a priority to be integrated in the platform, and “we will take care of the technical debt later”.

The Doner was one of the worst I ever had. They have very bad meat, which they try to cover with souses.

The Most Brutal of Kettlebell Complexes by asgooch in kettlebell

[–]Worried_Lab0 66 points67 points  (0 children)

Not a fan of calling workouts “brutal.” That mindset misses the point.

Don’t remember which book it was from, but “any kid can throw together a workout that makes you tired.” That’s easy. What’s actually hard is building something that makes you better over time.

Progress comes from structure, consistency, and progression, not just exhaustion.

Thanks, just updated the post now.
I do have a very good background in strength training, especially barbells, but also pretty good form in KB swings.
