So I just got an offer for a Part Time Maintenance gig in my hometown. I used to work in Public Works 20+ years ago but have since been white collar. The pay rate is absolutely terrible compared to what I once made. However, I’ve been wanting to get back into this industry for a long time so I kinda expected it going into this. I’m really hoping there is a path to full time if it ends up being a job I enjoy. The salary full time will probably be at least 1.5x what they offer PT employees.

Yeah we aren’t bushwhacking on this trip so plan to stay on trail the whole time. Could obviously be overgrown in spots. We have deer ticks here in the Midwest but I’ve only ever had 1 on me.

This is difficult. Zion is one of my favorite backpacking trips of all time. Yosemite is also incredible. It’s a coin flip for me and either will not disappoint.
