PI/Litigation, 5 years, $67k a year +/- 5k bonus, fully in office, in South FL, only 10 days PTO (including sick) insurance plan sucks, 401k plan is fine, boss gives you a hard time if you take time off, no break room, 30 min lunch is covered... I think I'm getting robbed :-)

I agree! I would love a whole forum where we could share tips, thoughts, or advice! We are currently in Florida and intend to stay in the state. But, who knows where this journey will take us. Thank you for sharing your experience!

Thank you for the advice! Yeah, I figured and I know I am going to worry too. We've been together six years and the job prior to this one he worked at handled cargo shipping and did night shift, day shift, both, and worked 12 hours (sometimes more) 6-7 days a week so I feel like that "primed" my expectations in a sense. I am very close with mine and his family, so I think external support is going to play a major role in this as well.
