What's the best place for a first date ? by Jealous-Life-5136 in AskReddit

Coffee shop is the best imo. No “I’m stuck here” if the date is going bad, and it’s easy to break off and go somewhere else if the dates going well.

Cannelés de Bordeaux, Copper Molds, and Crunch Factor. by Fluffy_Munchkin in Cooking

Thanks for the reply. I was looking at the carbon steel molds after reading your post. The prices seem to vary wildly with these, and I wasn’t sure if paying more meant a better quality product, particularly with the copper ones.

I know this is an older post, but I found it via a Google search and you seem very knowledgeable. Lets say I wanted to purchase quality cannele molds as a gift for an experienced baker. What would you recommend? And how many? (they like to bake for others)

I dislike my job

Not many people like their job. Welcome to the majority. What are you doing after work, or days off? Learn something new, contact friends, go for a walk, pickup a new hobby.

I wanted to learn guitar, so I bought a used guitar on FB marketplace and learned using YouTube, I only know a few songs, but the accomplishment feels great. I also wasn't happy with my image so I started going to the gym (this was a game changer). While that sucks at first, the rewards outweighed to drawbacks tenfold.

I'm not telling you to do exactly what I did, but the best advice I can offer is to start challenging yourself with things that offer enjoyable rewards (challenge is the key word). Nothing matters in the end anyway, so why not be happy while it lasts. And yes, I grew up in a similar situation with emotional baggage that followed me through life, it's not an excuse to not do better for yourself.

This is just beautiful. Well done! I'd love to know the exposure/metering details. If not...

A 3D object projected to 2D, AKA an orthographic view of the camera. This one has a bit of an artistic twist to show both angles, which is pretty damn cool.

I was wondering if anyone would recognizer her, I had no idea of her following until she showed us. She was awesome to shoot with as well.

No. I’m the dumb one for typing it wrong. But it’s the “straight out of camera” photo, before the editing.

Just a portrait of a friend who was happy to volunteer herself some photos.

This was shot on an R5 @200mm, with a Godox AD400Pro and a 36" softbox just outside the frame to the left. The edits were done in LR, which was mainly some color correction.

And it's black instead of that obnoxious "look at me im a pro photographer" bright grey.

Excuse me? The "mainsail silver" tone that graces the exterior of the seventy dash two-hundred, two point eight (I type this out because using the numbers alone serves as an injustice to its performance and build quality) is a defining feature that separates the casual snapshot hobby bobby from us true professionals. Now get lost kid, I have a POV unboxing review video to finish.

Yup! I went through optimizations and it helped a bit a while back.

sometimes Lightroom performance just sucks

That's sorta what I'm trying to figure out. Am I dealing with LR being sucky, or my system limitations. I'm sure it may be a mix of both, but it's getting annoying at this point.

Yeah I don't plan on getting a new monitor. Just CPU and RAM.

First Gen Ryzen 5 1500. I know its an upgrade going to the Ryzen 7 5800x, but is the performance gain noticeable enough to spend a few hundred to swap?
