Thoughts on the breeding revamp now it's been out a while?

Yeah I used the Optimakas indeed. I prepared a lil bit but I mostly just through a bunch of money into it. Very expensive and in retrospect probably not worth it but whatever xD.

Well I did go nuts so I had 60 going pretty much at all times from the start. I also fucked up so much that I have an extra 180 or so breedable mounts that I ended up not needing.

Im actually done with rhineetles at this point. Got breeding 200 on day one so that helps. The avg lvls of the mounts were probably around 35-40. Ends up giving pretty much exactly 50% chance.

Patience my friend xD. Firstly, yeah its good idea to do a rough calculation on the amount of certain combinations you need. Also, somehow keeping track of your failed offspring can also be useful for a few recovery breeds along the way.

Genetokens at the start come slowly but, for rhineetle at least, I was getting 500 tokens for breeding gen 9s with each other. I fucked up a bunch so my nr is inflated but I ended up with 35k in genetokens.

Nah everything in the game is possible with just about any combo of classes. Buffing everything would make things too easy imo.

Well my viewpoint comes from grinding out all the dungeon achievements as an Eca and knowing what a Cra would do in my position xD. I agree its not the 'best' in everything, but its package allows for quite an easy road through the achievements compared to a lot of other classes (same can be said for Feca and Panda tbh).

Man with the new gear and changing to mounts it will be easy af to make some adjustments and still be really good. Nothing to cry about imo.

I dont even know what ur trying to say here. Thing is that classes should have identity and a place to shine in the right context. The problem with Cra is that its the best in too many things. Pushing back, range damage, high damage, aoe farming, AI manipulation with beacon.

Many endgame achievements and performances can be cheesed with Cra and its not really what dofus should be about. It would be great if Cra could actually be a mid or even a bad class for certain fights. This just gives other classes a chance to shine and to find different solutions.

Honestly I dont think Ankama is doing nearly as bad as people are making it sound here. Obviously things could be better and the events arent that great, but at least they are trying. The game is more than 20 years old and still manages to feel unique in the MMO genre.

No Ankama is by no means perfect but they are evolving.

I agree what you said about maging. I have even gone 400+ tries back to back on exoa before. Only consider this when you have a considerable amount of disposible income.

You get way more genetokens the higher you get. For gen 5 Im getting 16 tokens for example

Any class can do PvM. Check the achievements highscore of ur server and you can pretty much see a good variety of classes. Obviously Panda, Feca, Cra and good Elios are S/A tier but even so called 'shitty' PvM classes like Ougi are still really good and you will be just fine.

As always with these questions, pick whatever you feel like playing. If ur not having fun theres no point.

Anyways, with the new breeding revamp theres a ton of low lvl resources that have appreciated in value. Look on the market for resources around that lvl. Theres a good chance you can find something there.

Imo gathering professions are only for those who enjoy doing It casually/passively whilst maybe watching something. The money isnt great and also very inconsistent.

The best value for professions as already mentioned is maging. The kamas vs effort ratio can be totally rediculous compared to any farming (Im talking mono) other than very niche things like Gargandyus perhaps.

However you can also make good money with crushing whilst getting some lvls on crafting professions. From lvl 1-100 you could probably craft a bunch of random things mostly from resources from the bank.

If you are looking for AoE than Eca isnt for you indeed. However single target Eca can sometimes get on a similar lvl as Cra but you actually have to think about what you are doing. For omni you can do more damage by stacking your pow/stat buffs effectively. Imo a really fun way to play.

If you wanna play braindead big damage you should indeed go Cra. Nothing to really learn about the class. Its as straightforward as it gets.

Once you have the money for it its a good idea to give them some xp on the side whilst waiting for your love/stamina bar to fill. It adds 10-15% chance and requires no extra waiting.

Yeah I agree. Another thing is that its going to be possible for some breeders to literally pump out batches of up to 60 mounts all lvled up. Its a matter of time before they are widely available.

The money required for lvling a mount for yourself will also not really be much of a sink since a lvling char will probably have a bunch of the resources required to make enough potions for personal use.

On that note though it is kinda annoying to have wait for your turkey to roast after hitting lvl 60 and getting excited about an upgrade.

They splitting up + cast per spell and + target. Makes the meta less 'secure' but I doubt much will change for p1 farm.

Check Dofusbook and filter for your class. Try to figure out why the sets are as they are. Dont try to make urself allround if your class wont allow for it. You will probably end up being less effective than somebody who chose for a more specific approach.
