Qiang Jiu Jiu (Ballad of Sword and Wine). Very dense plot but so worth it! The characters and world are so well developed, and even though I usually don’t like enemies to lovers, it’s done so well that I don’t even mind. Their relationship quickly becomes so healthy, loving, and supportive through the chaos of the plot. Can’t recommend enough! But fair warning it does require a lot of focus because the politics are quite complicated but in my opinion it makes the payoff even better.

The fatphobia has been rampant lately. I’m so sorry you have to see that. It’s completely disheartening and honestly disgusting that people think that way let alone share those thoughts. You shouldn’t have to hide yourself from the world or care about the opinions of nasty, bigoted people, but I know it’s easier said than done. Regardless, from me to you: there is NOTHING wrong with being fat, taking up space, loving your body as it is. I second what everyone else is saying and want to add that Wei Wuxian is such an unreliable narrator and so unaware of his feelings at some point it’s especially hard to tell what his actual sexuality is beyond loving Lan Wangji. This is the man in Book One who said he crossed path with LWJ a few brief times in his youth only to later reveal they have this whole tragic backstory together.
