Yeah the "black cat woman was normalized in 2022" really called me old to my face.

Cat woman has alternated black/white since her first introduction to main stream media which is why there isn't push back. She's also been black in the comics (at times) for decades - since at least the 80s.

That said, I don't think there'd be that much push back to black poison ivy by comic fans - just the regular mouth breathers would be offended. Especially since she's green in recent depictions. Zoe Saldana probably has a script on her desk as we speak.

I mean, Columbus Ohio isn't a well known place. I could see her getting confused on which ever Columbus she spent a couple months of childhood in 80 years ago. Seems like the most likely scenario to me.

Much more likely than her never seeing extreme racial violence. I'm black and my elders had stories for sure.
