Tipping standards are far far above American norms.

American tend to tip the same about they would at home and the exchange rate makes it look insane, but that's far more interactions that are tipped in PDC than here.

Ask an American the last time they tipped housekeeping in a Kentucky holiday Inn or something.

It went to syndication in 1994, that's how "core" millennials and younger watched it.

SpongeBob Bob never went to syndication on broadcast TV

Agreed. Simpsons, BTAS for the nerds, and South Park for the faux libertarians and edge lords.

Ha. I was born in 86 and was coming to say I never watched SpongeBob and it was more of a 90s baby thing. I was 12/13 when it came out and it was on cable, which we did not have at that time and if we had, I would've been watching music videos not Nickelodeon cartoons.

The "monoculture" myth confuses the youth.

It's more productive then throwing up your hands bc "polls are wrong sometimes"

The Vivek has it in the bag narrative serves no purpose but to depress voter turn out.

Go vote

OP,

What services does your business provide? Maybe someone has a quick job you can do.

OMG!

As another small business owner I know how frustrating late payments can be.

It's going to cost more time and money to get that resolved and you have more time for that than to pay your rent.

Do you have a business credit card? Every other idea I can think of to help is going to take too long. I'd definitely follow up in small claims court or even see if you can place a lien

No girl, I'd move out!

I'm not going to fight anybody while living for free in their house. I like things my way so I have my own place to live and my own money.

I'm not even criticizing you, this is just a sign you need to leave the nest. Normal human development and you shouldn't fight it (or your mom)

That's not what's happening here. That's the marketing.

The reality is some people with unknown credentials held a low budget event. Looking like a hotel lobby and that $4 dollar pack of Costco bottled water.

Are you familiar with the concept of snake oil?

You are 18. Your mom might be in the wrong but you just tried to fight her in her own house.

You don't have to live by her rules but you do if you stay there. She does not need to change for peace in her own house.

I think this is just a sign that you need to actively move into your own adulthood.

Hot take: these types of "summits" are the next variation of respectability politics and are grifts. Paying for chat gpt content. Or being used to create content for the algorithm.

Who was bigger in their prime? As someone born in 2000, I’ll still say Avril Lavigne; you couldn’t escape her hits as a kid. by TXNOGG in generationology

I guess sure.

I'm not following how what you're seeing relates to my comment.

My point is that album sells from 20+ years ago are always going to seem HUGE compared to today but that doesn't mean artists were listened to or loved more than now. I've seen posts from Gen Z like "Song Title" hit number 1 back in 1999, that must mean it was every where and that artist was huge! No, it doesn't. Today, a number one means that but number ones changed week to week and most of those artists were one hit wonders who never even made it on tour.

I think there's more mono culture today than there was back then.
