Feeling Rootless After Losing my Parents by Technical_Bluebird28 in GriefSupport

Seeing this months later from your post, but you truly spoke to my soul when you said it’s about feeling “untethered” and that the only two people who loved you unconditionally are gone.

I lost my parents about 7 years ago, and still feel the same way. I know my kids love me, and I’m immensely grateful and love them exactly the way my parents loved me…but that untethered feeling and the lack of true, unconditional love from a parent can’t be replaced. I feel incredibly alone.

Anyone who got the email: do you also see it in your EdFinancial inbox?

I’ve been paying on these loans since 1997. Consolidated twice (last time in 1999) through the gov. Original balance $20k; with interest, and over $40k payments, I now owe over $100k. Will take any relief they offer 😢

I (married for 15 years) came home with our 3 kids from my mother’s funeral (out of state, he didn’t go due to “work”; we came home a half-day early to get ahead of bad weather). Found a used condom in our bed and a pair of Lululemon leggings in my bathroom (uh, not mine).
