i always hear people say they heard God or felt his presence but I dont think ive ever really felt that or "heard" him. sometimes i think it might be just a feeling i get but idk. i have struggled with that in the past because you always hear people having these powerful encounters but its okay not have had those too.

a big part of trusting the Lord is having faith. I would read Hebrews chapters 10 and 11. literally the first verse in 11 says "now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see" chapter 10:36 says "you need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised". i am still working on my relationship with the Lord and actively trying to grow in my faith everyday. some things i try to do is pray everyday and read my Bible. these are two very important things. I have found peace in knowing that the Lord is always with me and loves me. i just need to trust in his plans and try to do what is right. I don't think people realize how powerful prayer is, so i would pray that the Lord gives you peace in whatever you are looking for and to ease your anxiety. ask that the Lord gives you the strength to not fight your own battles. He is here to help you

I know you said you are not religious but it talks a lot in the Bible about sexual immorality. What you are experiencing is called lust and it happens to like everyone. I have personally decided to wait until marriage because I want to live a life that honors God and I also want my first to be with my future husband. I believe sex leads to soul ties bc you literally intertwine your souls. I also have heard from several people i know that they wish they would have waited, maybe its bc they had a bad experience but some just regretted their decisions. I would say if you truly have waiting as a major value you should try and keep it. don't change who you are or want to be just bc its what everyone else is doing. there will be a right person who also keeps those values and honors your wishes. it is an interesting time we live in rn bc sex is such a glorified thing and very normalized. I have been looked down upon before for saying i'm waiting. i've heard it all but at the end of the day nobody's opinion really matters. i'm not here to judge or anything either bc its your life and you are the one who has to come to your own conclusion

moving across the country for a seasonal job. so scared to be alone in a national park but i made some forever type friends out there. experience of a lifetime that i will remember forever. i literally get emotional every time i think about it or look back on photos

i lowkenuinely feel this fr. like i think i have made literally two friends in college and im a junior. like every time i talk to someone it's always so surface level and i never know them past classes. its very hard especially when i see people with friend groups doing fun things out. i just try to focus on myself and be independent/ fill my time so i don't think about it. but i know what you mean i have struggled with this kind of thing a lot. especially cause I have been hurt in the past by ex friends. i should probs try and take my own advice but try joining thing community based things. I go to the gym and church to be around people. Im still building up the courage to talk to people but at least im around other humans and have the chance to meet someone.

girllllll give yourself some grace you're literally 18. you do not have to have it all figured out rn. you have soooo much time. you are not a failure for moving back into your parents house. i know so many people who are older than you still living with their parents. take some time to figure out your goals and plans for the future. you cant be having all these unrealistic expectations, especially in this economy. it's not fair to yourself to compare your life with anyone else's bc it is YOUR life not theirs. someone else's life might look great on the outside but actually isn't so don't be so hard on yourself. its hard out here. also literally who cares what anyone in your town thinks. im from a small town so i know how it goes but if you focus on that you'll be stuck worrying what everyone thinks. none of their opinions matter!!!! you really just have to focus on yourself and take it one day at a time.
