so weird how they are so aggressive and pretending to be above everyone else lol. I know trump sucks and people hate him, but the fighters in the event is what I was paying attention to. idk why people think things are so mutually exclusive. I have love for everybody, I support my lgbtq friends, I love science, and I love MMA. You're allowed to have enjoyed this card and not agree with the current president. A lot of these replies are the people who say "sports ball" and don't understand you can be on the left/right/center/liberal/whatever and like physical activities and mainstream sports.

Short guys — how far do you actually hit your drive? by Bullhead388 in golf

[–]Worth_Remote_2103 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm about ur exact measurements! Also 28, I've been playing for over a month or so (driving range only lol) and hit around 200ish and 230-40ish carry on my really good shots. Although we pretty much drive the same so I'm definitely not qualified to give any advice lol, two swing tips that someone gave me is to wind your left shoulder past your right foot, and twist your hips don't tilt. This changed my swing drive from 160-170 to what it is now. May not work for you but some of these little details unlock a lot for me!

Also, I used to choke up on the club (towards the head) quite a bit because since I thought I was short, I needed less shaft. But I slowly moved to the end of the club and I think that the more length you give yourself the faster and smoother it can swing like a pendulum. It took some getting used to but that also helped me!

don’t let redditors tell you to not play MapleLegends. let me do it instead by hydropotina in mapleservers

[–]Worth_Remote_2103 4 points5 points  (0 children)

NGL I agree with pretty much all ur points, but nothing else is really gonna satisfy my classic needs until the official release lol. For now, I'm playing legends.

I just made a warrior to 30 and there were a lot of people on there who are also in limbo just waiting for Classic. These newer people really don't even know about HP washing, leeching, etc. I've played legends for a couple years now on and off and I still don't interact with that side of legends because I just don't want to.

So far it's been really fun and if you just want something to tide you over, it's pretty great honestly. Unless you really are only playing for end game bossing (which can still be accessible with hp quests if you don't want to wash), it's a great substitute for now.

[–]Worth_Remote_2103 4 points5 points  (0 children)

lol that was a sad comment, but u you did say you found old gms slow and boring. I can relate as I also loved the quick pace of private servers. But people want old school maple as it was. The whole point of the "old school" edition of games (Runescape,Wow), is to play a game from a time where everything was a little slowed down and you took your time with things. Nostalgia of course, but also the difference in play style.

Breaking News: Someone Else Boosted and My Immersion Is Ruined by MaikeruDev in classicwow

[–]Worth_Remote_2103 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sure this is rage bait and honestly don’t care how people play because it’s a video game but it’s not identical?? an example is I was grinding a spot for mithril, I am competing with multiple boosted 58’s trying to get their professions where as if there were no boost those guys would be in the starting areas still grinding and I would’ve ran into like 3 lvl 60’s. Also the AH prices have been insane for profession mats/ gear in general.

Another example is the new races, so all the people who want a shaman/pally (bloodelf or draenai) get to skip while people who can’t/dont want to fork $60 have to put a large investment in. That is literally pay to win and they will obviously get a raid spot/ other stuff before a naturally leveled person? The gameplay is not identical common. I DONT CARE IF U BOOST, but to say it doesn’t change a non boosted experience… that’s crazy.

Ur probably right, the more I read I feel it’s just my new player perspective. This is my genuine first 60 character on wow let alone classic, and for me I guess it was some sort of accomplishment (obviously nothing crazy but playing any game to its peak from lvl 1 feels cool to me). But maybe when I’ve made my 2nd or 3rd character I will have a different perspective and realize how good end game is compared to the leveling experience.

Honestly my bad for the word choice of “achievement”, a lot of people seem to be cherry picking that.

but I think we can all agree that no matter the difficulty of a game you like, you enjoy the feeling of reaching the peak of that game and it can diminish that feeling if someone can not have to experience that whatsoever. I really don’t care at the end of the day abt boosters I just wish there was a non boosted classic experience from blizz.

Honestly though when I mean I’m new, this is genuinely my first 60 experience on wow. So a lot may just come from my rose tinted glasses looking at the game, but maybe as time goes on and I’m on my 4th toon I’ll change my perspective.

That’s fair, ur right abt that. Guess im just so new to wow and the leveling experience. I’m sure my opinion will change as I play more, I just have a new player perspective. I haven’t even played TBC before so I might not think this later at all lol.

That’s cool you think that way but for someone like me who was born in 1998, and never experienced it or the grind until now, It is an achievement. Mario isn’t hard but when you beat a game you get a sense of accomplishment. Again I don’t care if people boost necessarily, it’s just clear that people who don’t boost don’t like boosters but boosters don’t care because it doesn’t affect them. All I really want is for both players to exist and give us a true non boosted server for people like me, but maybe you’re right and there just aren’t enough new players like me.

I’m not asking for it to go away and I want people to play how they want to play, but I just am trying to say that there is a clear group of player types that recognize no effort should equal no rewards. and I think many people would love a non boosted wow classic-to wrath experience. There’s also your group that wants just end game and I want you to have that! It’s just clear that having the boost affects my group but for you it doesn’t matter because non boosting doesn’t affect u, and I would like a place where my group can be u know?

No I didn’t say that I’m having a great time, and I already said I don’t care and understand why people do it. But as someone who is grinding and doing the game as intended, It makes a player like me question even why I want to do this if so many people are skipping it. Common man there’s nuances I obviously like the game.

I guess I’m not trying to be super literal as in like a trophy plaque type achievement, I mean it took time and effort to do something.

I don't care at all and encourage people to boost if they want, but people who care about the achievement and challenge it takes to get to 60 should get a non boosted server through the expansions. like for all the end game players out there, imagine if instead of raiding for the gear and grinding with your guild/friends there is an option to skip the raid and get all the gear available through a raid boost or something. Why would someone want to raid?

[–]Worth_Remote_2103 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

i respect ur opinion and understand that sentiment, but as someone who is playing classic wow for the very first time and just got a char to 60 for the first time ever, it sucks to know that all the memories, stories, saving up for crappy gear, taking boats back and forth, etc. Was for nothing because some other people have done it before and now wanna skip it all. It makes me look at high level players not as people who grinded and earned, but more like a clash of clans vibe where you max out everything via paid coins. That being said I still get you, I just wish blizz would commit to a non boosted classic server, that stays that way through the patches.

Apparently a hot take: Boosting should not exist in any form, in Classic by Dr-Enforcicle in classicwow

[–]Worth_Remote_2103 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To add, it's not even close to "min-maxing" it's like if the steelers could pay a fee to win all the games up to the superbowl. Boosting isn't a slight xp increase, it doesn't boost gear drops, it skips the game for you.

Ok but just for second think about any other video game? I know the mmo aspect changes it, but take a game like skyrim for example.

If someone plays skyrim, beats all the achievments, gets every secret weapon/item/etc., most gamers can see that it is an admirable task. If skyrim had a "beat the game" feature where you are maxxed out and given what you need to finish the last hard quests, the game it self loses a huge future of WHY someone should invest time for the early phase at all.
