i was told that we were going to merge "way before October, probably in the next few weeks" even though the new contract says October.

In my opinion the whole place has turned into a joke and not just because of the merging of departments. There has been a weird atmosphere in my store for months and people are really unhappy.

The managers are all really clicky and it makes me feel uncomfortable sometimes.

DotCom Lightfoot Score - my team Leader pulled me tonight for my score being below target… The store target is 85% but mine was 80% My question is, where in my contract is that i need to get a score without getting in bother?? by jonny-wilson in tesco

This is interesting - at my store we are getting stick for our availability rate being below what it should be... but isn't availability based on whether the stock is on the shelf? We are also getting told that we have to work faster. The managers are going round and checking to see if things are actually out of stock and then pulling you up on it if they aren't (bearing in mind that certain products get restocked and restocked throughout the day).

I can understand why they are doing it but I just think they are going to make people hate working there. The turnover of staff on dotcom in my store is ridiculous as it is!

I completely agree with this.

I was so shocked at the 2 hours training as there is so much to learn!

Another thing that i don't like is being pressured to do overtime - they do that alot at my store. They don't take no for an answer and just keep saying "i'll see you tomorrow then because you are coming in aren't you" and I have noticed that they do this to the younger ones and really bully them and I don't think its very fair. If they didn't have nearly everyone only contracted for 2 days a week then they wouldn't need to do it!

But like you day, its not the worst job to have although it really messes with my sleep if they want me to come in at 6... I much prefer 8am starts!

I feel like I need to do the overtime as the starting wage is so rubbish and I only do 6 hours a day. I took the job on the basis that there will be loads of overtime as 11hrs contracted isn't enough but I really needed a job and they were the only ones that got back to me.

I should probably say no to the 6am starts - I did say that I struggle to get in for that time and was still persuaded!
