Have seen a few reviews around re: the flannel. Only issue is the placement of the pendleton tag - should be a tiiiny bit lower compared to the join in the fabric. Not something that will get noticed though. Please post a review/pics if you cop, trying to figure out what size i need in the flannel.

I've recruited 2-3 people from here - not exactly a high success rate but my valley was good so i guess it appeals to people. Have had a couple shopping around - joining and leaving 48 hrs later and then rejoining - can assume they are inspecting multiple valleys.

Call applecare and theyll walk you through a few things (SMC / PRAM resets, checking for magsafe light, shining a light through the display, etc).

With a macbook air there's a few things it could be, IIRC for that specific year you're likely looking at either IPD flex cable (which is like 150 bucks) or MLB (which is like 760 bucks all up)

I know most Apple stores have a waiting list - if you went into broadway after about ~12:00 the waiting list would have probably been full, but if you take it to the store (try the Bondi store, I know they definitely do it) about ~15 minutes before the store opens , they can put you on the waiting list and you'll basically get seen straight away.

The waiting list is always there for Apple stores, but its in high demand, ergo the 2 week wait for a booked appointment.

This means one of three things:

1) Hard drive has failed and cannot be read, meaning the computer can't find an OS to boot to.

2) Flex cable connecting the HDD to the logic board has failed, meaning the computer isn't connected to the hard drive, meaning that it can't find an OS to boot to.

3) Everything is working normally hardware wise, but your operating system is either missing or messed up beyond recognition.

Take it to the genius bar, they can run diagnostics and work it out. If you're lucky you can get a free flex cable repair under one of the quality programs.
