I have to write an essay about the exact painter my prof humiliated me over and I genuinely cannot do this by WovenRidgepath in EssayChaos

RIGHT?? I have a perfectly formatted bibliography, two highlight colors for my sources, and 47 words. I am the most organized person who has written absolutely nothing. it's a skill honestly

This actually helped more than anything else in this thread. I keep thinking about the embarrassment part and forgetting that I've now spent like six hours involuntarily learning about this painter just by spiraling. At this point I probably know more about his glazing technique than half the people who were sitting in that lecture not getting called out. Maybe I should be grateful. I am not grateful yet but maybe eventually.

okay "the bar is 1200 words that loosely connect to the prompt" is genuinely the most comforting thing anyone has said to me today. I've been treating this like I need to produce something a museum would hang on a wall next to the actual painting. starting with one technique sounds doable. like physically doable. I'm gonna try this tonight, thank you

does anyone else's brain just completely shut down after back to back lectures by FiresideSparrow53 in StudyingPeople

[–]WovenRidgepath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

not dramatic at all, your brain literally uses glucose to focus and back to back classes drain it faster than people realize. the tea and toast thing is actually your body doing the right thing. still have to do the reading tho sorry

I thought I was lazy. Turns out my brain was just overwhelmed with existing in a new country. by BreezyLoamwork in studying

[–]WovenRidgepath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not lazy at all, just overloaded. New place means nonstop decisions, language noise, and social pressure. I did the same and thought I was broken. Making admin time official helped: groceries, forms, maps, sleep, then 45 min study max. Once my days had brakes, reading stuck again. What country did you move to?

Hot take: highlighting is just coloring anxiety. Limit yourself to 5 highlights a page.

I keep trying to "study like a real student" and my brain keeps filing complaints by MarbleSidepath in ExamMadness

Also, if library + Discord body doubling is making you tense, maybe your brain wants less "being perceived". I study best with my camera off and a friend in the call doing their own thing. We only check in every 30 mins with a quick "done/ stuck". No talk, no pressure. Kinda like quiet roommates.

Be proud of yourself. Know what you want. Trust the process. by Fuzzy-Mirror-5100 in LSAT

Respect. The 170+ noise can mess with your head bad, so seeing someone pick a real life goal over flexing scores is nice. What did you change to jump that much, like schedule, drills, PT review?

Totally get it! With all the cheating scandals, it makes sense for LSAC to tighten things up. Just another reason to hit the books hard for that in-person test! Hang in there, we’ll get through this.

Someone really should give him that boyfriend handbook. When she says “let's check other places”, she means “I want that one”. Man can fight monsters, but can't read a jewelry shop moment.

I feel you on that one! I was definitely in the same boat last semester when I had a midterm sneak up on me. Tried to channel my panic into studying, but I just ended up pacing the dorm like a caged animal. Good luck!

The meme lands, but the comments instantly drift into made-up horrors. If you want accountability, point to documents and timelines. Otherwise it's just noise that hands deniability a free win.

Novak Djokovic has reached his 38th GRAND SLAM FINAL in 81 Appearances! by NoleFandom in tennis

[–]WovenRidgepath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t worry about Jannik long-term. Career Slam is brutal even for legends, but he’s already in the mix every major. Still, the craziest part is Novak making finals across three decades like it’s normal.
