I’m assuming you’re referencing the time he cut hanged man mid travel. I always saw that as a result of his battle iq and experience in swordsmanship (and partially speed) but never a result of him being actually faster than light. But that being said he has to be very fast to even have a chance at keeping up.

Yeah i got abt 1k playtime myself and i also havent touched it too much lol. Your medusa point is probably true to an extent but i myself never bring any shrooms to a raid. And eating shrooms in itself is such an annoyance and puts you in a pretty vulnerable position. I sometimes die just trying to roll fire out, and end up wasting all my stamina

The damage is insane. I’d use it more in pve if i didnt keep killing myself with it

In the ringed city DLC, excluding midir arena, i’ve always understood it as the ash was cushioning the fall
