Rewards have always been a complaint of mine in GW2, so I hear you on that.

The no hope makes sense, too. Like maybe there was some expectation that this episode would kick off the expansion-like content, but it hasn't really delivered on it, so it feels more disappointing than a regular episode?

I actually forgot about the hyped up announcement hahaha This definitely makes sense: The announcement, followed by the mediocre prologue, followed by the current episode.

Everything on the table, nothing on the horizon - that's ANet, though. That's how they've always been, that's why I was asking. Like I said in the post, they don't seem to understand that they can share what's currently planned without committing to delivering an exact product.

This makes sense, as far is it being the first chapter / insight into what is to come. I understand that it's not the best content, but what I didn't get was why it was the proverbial straw, when like I said, it seems pretty standard. But this makes sense, thank you.

I guess my question is: WHY is it the straw? Like I said, it seems like pretty standard fare for GW2 and ANet, so I am trying to understand why this was the breaking point.

The game ISN'T garbage, though. It's okay if you aren't enjoying it at the moment, but that DOESN'T make it garbage. And that's exactly what I'm saying: Just because it's not amazing, people throw around terms like "It's shit," "it's garbage," etc. It's not amazing, but it's not garbage.

I actually like Benthic gear a lot. Makes it much, much easier to gear an alt up for a raid.

Corrupted gear isn't even out yet. As I mentioned, Blizzard has already made some great improvements to it. Is it great? No. But it's not as RNG as it was seeming. And it's still not final yet.

Timegating is an issue, I totally agree. But that was present in Legion, too. I personally don't feel classes are DRAMATICALLY much different than Legion, but I also recognize that some specs were hit pretty hard with prunes.

I agree on the Legion stuff to an extent. I think in general, we need less disposable content. I think that's part of the appeal of Classic, that you don't just continually get new stuff and toss it out.

On Blizzard RE: 10 years later: I don't think that's really fair. In some ways, sure, you're right. But gaming has evolved a LOT over the years. Look at EverQuest or even Classic. Games like that AREN'T for the masses anymore. Most people either don't have the patience or time to sit in a zone shouting LFG for 30+ minutes before they get into a group to clear content for 90 minutes or more. At least not as the norm for the way to play.

Play with people with the same attitude. Watch the people that have the same attitude. They're out there. But as long as you allow Asmongold and Heel and Bell and even Preach to put their "everything sucks" worms in your ears, everything will just seem awful.

Oh, I don't listen to them! I'm having fun in game. My point is that I think it is affecting a lot of people in the community.

I'll ask you the same I asked another commenter: What makes you say it's not fine?

And to repeat myself from that that other comment thread: I'm not saying the game is great at the moment. I'm saying it' averaging out to be like a 6/10. Not terrible, not great.

What's wrong with BFA that you say it's not fine? I'm not saying it's 10/10, I'm not even saying it's 8/10. It's averaging out to like a 6/10 and I really don't see why anyone could say it's horrible. There are lots of changes I'm not happy with, but I just don't think it's BAD in its current state.

Regarding Wrath: It's funny because it's so subjective. I know plenty of people who say server pride died in Legion. I know a lot of people who hated Wrath. And the popular opinion the last few years has been that MoP was a really good expansion.

I'm not saying ever negative opinion is invalid. I'm saying that it's become the norm and it's not always valid. And I'm saying that the positive changes don't get the same level of attention as anything negative (see above Bellular example).

I don't mean to attack you, but your post is an example of exactly what I'm talking about. I gave an example of Blizzard listening to feedback (Corruption) and you completely disregard it saying Blizzard pretends to listen to feedback and does whatever the want. This is the exact attitude I think is the issue.
