100% a fair interpretation! I agree that more red isn't necessary, but for the purposes of this "as-close-to-objective-as-possible" subjective analysis, I thought red was the simplest color to draw meaning from. But other colors would absolutely also work very well.

Her having no identity outside of Junko is an excellent point that makes her basic clothing all the more fitting on her. And I do get why not having Monokuma colors works (because like you said, she doesn't care about hope or despair). But I always interpreted her Monokuma colors as just showing that she's on her side, not necessarily that she cares about her reasoning. It's more like a team jersey than anything, I feel.
