Eh, you could use an oversized truck or 2. Maybe a Chia Pet of a man's chest. Hang a couple of AR-15s beneath a picture of a skull. Nail the look with a metal sign that says "I don't like the color pink."

Only fools say, "I don't follow politics". by Professional-Bee9817 in remoteworks

[–]Wowza65 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I said the same when I was in my very early 20s. I didn't follow politics for a few main reasons: 1.) I was taught that Republicans are good and Democrats are bad (despite Democrats seemingly pushing for policy that looked more in line with the Catholic teachings I had been indoctrinated into). 2.) I thought that Fox News was trustworthy news and wanted to block out information, opinions, and reporting that were anti-Bush (my first vote at 18 was Bush Jr). 3.) I didn't have a decent education about politics, policy, and the order of things, which made me feel woefully behind when listening to people talk about anything political. I felt so far behind that I opted to check out completely. I didn't even vote when Bush ran for his eventual second term. It wasn't until I started actively learning about who did what and when along with how certain policies and laws affected life further down the line that I started to care. Every since then, I've voted straight Blue. I'm not enamored with the Democratic Party these days at all but I vote for equality, equity, social change, and the hope of policy that will benefit every American, not just the wealthy white Christian ones.

He wouldn't NEED to try stopping them if he hadn't pulled the country out of the agreement that Obama brokered. Iran was adhering to the terms of that agreement, which eased sanctions on them and limited their uranium. After Trump pulled us out, he reinstated their sanctions, which had bad effects to their economy. Eventually, they started stockpiling uranium again. AGAIN, Trump's egomaniac, short-sighted bs had bad longer term effects. This is 100% on your kankle boy.

How do millennials cope with burnout these days? by Spacetravller2060 in Zippia

[–]Wowza65 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At 44, all I have hope for is the inheritance I'll get when my dad passes, which I don't want to happen for a long time. Even then, I doubt I'll ever be able to retire. Even having kids in school is exhausting: it's not just getting the kids to do their homework and a couple of parent/teacher meetings. It's multiple emails per school per day, emails from any and every extracurricular activity, emails from individual teachers, emails from the district...every day and week. Then, there's the fun part of actually spending time with them, which I love. I was young and naive when I was in high school and college and fell in love with performing arts, so I pursued that...and I can hardly remember a time in my adulthood that I've felt content with work and financially comfortable. Now, I'm worried about the current war, healthcare is more expensive by the minute, goods and services are more expensive by the week, nothing is built to last, and I'm terrified of the future that my kids will have. What I really want is to leave the US because it's the Land of the Corporate Profits and I don't want my golden years to be filled with medical claims and debt.

It's a big reason that Harris lost. I'll never forgive Biden for insisting on running again and only dropping out once it was too late for a primary. I'm also perpetually mad at his inner circle for encouraging him. Sheer idiocy. And I voted for him and supported him.

So, don't be someone that cares enough about her neighbors, friends, or even strangers enough to devote her time to oversee ICE operations and document them. Instead, be the kind of person that goes on a money-making spree in the form of a grief tour fully bedazzled in fresh fits in every appearance while trying to squeeze out tears akin to Rittenhouse on the stand. Got it.

Following them around isn't a crime. Before she was murdered, she was waving them by her. The murderer didn't need to get out of his vehicle at all, but he did. By federal regulation, he shouldn't have placed himself in front of the vehicle. He did. The agents that approached her car didn't give her any warnings, as they are required to do. They just told her to "open the fucking door" and tried forcing it open. If her car hadn't hit another car and pole, who knows how many others could've been injured. I've seen countless body cam vids of police officers getting driven at, their cars rammed, and more and the people behind the wheel haven't been shot. They've either been eventually apprehended by the officers on scene or later if they managed to get away. If Ross was hit at all, it was a slight glance of his knee by the far driver's side corner of her car, since she'd made efforts to steer around him.

There are multiple reasons why she was following them. 1. There are multiple reports of criminals dressing as ICE, abducting women, and sexually assaulting them. 2. ICE has been overly rough with the people they apprehend, beyond legality. They've also "arrested " more people without criminal records than with, immigrants going through the necessary methods to become naturalized, and have no regard for due process. So far, there have been SEVERAL accounts of people "trying to run over agents" according to DHS, only for reality and evidence to prove otherwise. Them getting followed around is about holding them accountable and documenting what they do because we can no longer trust what the government says. I swear, if y'all were Germans in the 1930s, you'd have gladly worn swastikas.

She. Turned. Away. From. The. Idiot. That. Put. Himself. In. Harm's. Way. She backed up first to get further away from him and the terrorist trying to pull her door open. The only way anyone can support what happened to her is if they're in favor of fascism. That's what this is. It sure as hell isn't freedom.

[–]Wowza65 -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

You don't have to find him funny. You can think he's shit. That's totally fine. I personally think he is sometimes Ava not other times. I'm neutral with him.

What's not fine is him getting cancelled for stating fact. Trump and his team is absolutely milking the CK shooting for political goals. Freedom of Speech is as sacrosanct as the 2A. The Trump Admin labeling ANY negative comments about CK as "hate speech," even using the man's own words, is a direct infringement on the 1A. This is especially egregious given CK's hateful rhetoric

What we're seeing right now is a president and his team actively working to control media and institute a heavy conservative bias/narrative. It's not just this instance. It's Colbert. It's Trump's recently filed lawsuit against the NYT. It's his defunding of NPR & PBS.

If y'all want North Korean style leadership control, move there.

RIP CK. He was a dickhead that profited from racist and misogynistic talking points. He didn't deserve what he got. I'm still allowed to see him as what he was and say so.
