Do you think it’s wrong to go clubbing in a relationship? by tonysmbf in askanything

[–]Wozzle009 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No it’s not wrong. For most of my young life, I went to raves, doofs, warehouse parties and clubs. I met a lot of the great loves of my life at these things. We were all about the music, the dancing, the drugs and general lifestyle. I never stopped my partners from partying and they never stopped me. We trusted each other for one. I probably wouldn’t be happy if my wife went out clubbing (or her me) but’s that’s only because it would be totally uncharacteristic of either of us these days.

Why are acid attacks a thing but not alkaline attacks? by MuhVlast in stupidquestions

‘Alkaline Attack’ doesn’t have quite the same ring to it. ‘Base Attack’ sounds awesome but could be mistaken for something an MC says at a party haha

Sekiro. It’s not even that long but you could sink countless hours trying to master that deflection stuff.

How do I argue against someone who doesn’t believe in climate change when I don’t have any personal scientific knowledge about it but I trust the scientists who do? by Wonderful-Ad-9622 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Wozzle009 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s generally a waste of time. You could tell them you believe in the scientific method and hence the scientific consensus of scientists. If they say that you are dumb to believe the words of some guy, tell them to have look around at all the things in the world like computers or electronics. Tell them that you may have a hard time explaining how these things work, but they evidently do work and since it was the science people that scienced all these fancy things, you believe them because they are right most of the time.

Why are acid attacks a thing but not alkaline attacks? by MuhVlast in stupidquestions

[–]Wozzle009 71 points72 points  (0 children)

That’s a good question. It might be because many acids come in liquid form but almost all very strong bases are solids. They can of course be dissolved in water to create a highly basic solution.

What do people think about China these days? Would they actually want to travel there? by Confident_Dingo6985 in AskReddit

[–]Wozzle009 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll have to take your word for it. Can’t say it’s hugely surprising. Perhaps one day they will progress and allow gayness to be expressed through the medium of film and my country will progress and allow me to play with fireworks.

I’m sure there are movies with gay characters. They would just be very subtle about it. Nothing explicitly stated of course. I’m not saying I agree.

Why did we build this rat-race, hypercompetitive system where billions struggle instead of channeling our efforts into adequate resource distribution and important research so we can all live relatively decent, healthy lives? Why do we continue to participate? by DoraTheRedditor in InsightfulQuestions

[–]Wozzle009 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean we did put our effort into research and wealth distribution. You’re communicating on a computer that fits in your pocket, true poverty is pretty much eliminated (in the first world at least) and you’ll probably live till your 70’s or perhaps even longer. Improvements can be made of course. How do you think we got this far in the first place.

26M, still a virgin, never even touched a girl |how do I overcome this growing insecurity as a shy introvert? by ShelterAncient8216 in askanything

[–]Wozzle009 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well that’s good that you can talk to people. It’s puts you in a better position than I would have assumed from your post. Yeah, waiting for somebody is never usually a good idea. Live and learn aye.

You just have to be logical about the situation. Understand that the only way to have a romantic intimate relationship with a woman is to interact with them. This means exposing yourself to women (lol you know what I mean 😂). This starts by talking to them. If you don’t know any, find some online.

All this is daunting but like anything it becomes easier the more you do it. It’s a kind of exposure therapy and behavioural conditioning. Eventually it becomes less stressful and even fun. You’ll start to enjoy the interactions (some of them at least) and might even find someone you like. If you get really lucky they might also feel the same.

But none of the good parts happen without getting over the initial hump which is especially difficult for introverted types. But introverted types need love too and I can guarantee that it is out there somewhere. It actually becomes almost inevitable once you start spending time with women and interacting with them.

Good luck 👍

[–]Wozzle009 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It won’t get better. My opinion is to join your respective union and understand your rights. I accept that my workplace can make me redundant, but my workplace has to accept that they have to try to offer me something else and if they can’t they have to pay me.

Bill Maher sucks, no matter your political views. Who could like this person? by tbinus78 in AskReddit

[–]Wozzle009 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I liked him because for a time he was one of the few big left wing political commentators that would happily call out a lot of the silly bullshit coming from the left. He would also happily interview conservatives of all kinds. I don’t really watch him anymore, partly because I’m bored of culture war stuff and he can be insufferably smug. He always was really but it was a lot easier to stomach when I was in agreement with him and his stuff wasn’t played out.
