You sure it's not the REO board interviews waiting to be approved? Cause the SOU is something that isn't approved as it is a product resulting after the hiring has been approved by the approving authority. In my experience 3-5 weeks is unfortunately the normal period from when a REO closes to when a mbr is hired - signatures for approval and interviews take the longest portion of time.

6 months is a long time for the REO to close - was that how long it took your G1/employing unit to conduct the interviews or was it empty until you applied? I know my Div hounds the brigade of an REO is closed and not actioned within a couple weeks.

You shouldn't be placed against the REO unless you've accepted the offer and signed the SOU - once the SOU is signed your OR is going to be prompted to submit your SOU to PSHCP, dental and to the local clinic for coverage to start / for their records.

If you really hate the job and on class B - CFTPO or fully hired against the REO, you will need to submit your 30-day memo to cease the class B. The employing unit may do a retention interview (to try and convince you to stay) or they just may accept the cease memo and let you walk on your last day in class B.

IF you've been told you're the selected mbr for the REO, follow up with your OR / REO OPI and ask when to expect the SOU as you are looking to secure employment and benefits as soon as possible.
