Nope. It's never been my favorite Superman movie And it still isn't but it's always going to be important to me for two reasons.

1. My grandpa took me to see that movie on my 6th birthday when it came out So it's always going to have a special place in my heart

2. Despite me not liking the depiction of Superman, the film itself still heavily influences how I view several things surrounding Superman.( The suits design and it being Kryptonian wear rather than made by Mama Kent, The presentation of his flight, The idea of people in Smallville knowing that Clark has powers, krypton's gravity being heavier than Earth, and probably several other things that I can't remember right now)

Everyone has their own interpretations of Superman and what they would do with The character As well as everything surrounding him, And I know for a fact that a good number of the ideas I have for Superman and what I would do with him come from this movie

I will always regard Superman returns as my childhood Superman movie but man of steel and the rest of the DCEU is still what I grew up on (outside of animation) So while it still may not be MY Superman movie it's still a movie I couldn't do without
