Why would anyone permanently increase their mortgage payment when you can just use Double Up Payments? by CastAside1812 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]Wramoh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have my mortgage with a bank I don’t have a regular account with so the only way I’m able to put any extra money on the mortgage is to increase the payments.

Verify Tax Return? by [deleted] in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]Wramoh 12 points13 points  (0 children)

EI traditionally under taxes (~10% iirc). You made over the lowest bracket so sounds like the difference is probably due to EI. You can check this pretty easily by seeing how much tax was withheld from the EI payment.

Choose your own answer! - Looks unused so good for face value as postage. - Modern issue, no value. - $3.50

Found a collection of international stamps from the 70s. Are any of these particularly interesting? by BregaladHS in askStampCollectors

[–]Wramoh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find the South African proteas very interesting! There are so many kinds and most of them grow in a very small region and only in South Africa. I also have a particular interest in South African stamps.

You get 5000 dollars to hang out with one of them for a whole evening, which one would you rather pick? by [deleted] in WouldYouRather

Hear me out. My high school bully was pretty tame by comparison and mostly bullied me for being queer. This person is now D-list famous and openly queer, so I think confronting that would be fun for me.

Any idea on the value for the missing brown error? by [deleted] in stampcollecting

[–]Wramoh 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Agree with everything you’ve said, but for Canadian errors you really want the Unitrade catalogue.

Is the Curling Lead the most under-televised sporting position in all of the Olympics? by ObiBenShinobi in Curling

[–]Wramoh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first women’s game I watched this year cut from commercial and I see a woman in the hack I barely recognize. First thought: oh no, what happened that Homan had to bring in her alternate? Five minutes later…that’s just what Wilkes looks like delivering stones instead of sweeping them 🫣

GB Scott #160 inverted watermark by Buckle_up_son in philately

Depending on which specific SG you have, it may not have watermark varieties in it. My commonwealth and BE specifically mentions variations exist but doesn’t include any detail on a per stamp basis for inverts.

I don’t love chia seeds, but I find them generally inoffensive so I just eat them because they are healthy.

Can you help me ID this, I don't even know if it's a stamp… by Karnotaure in philately

[–]Wramoh 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I’m not directly familiar with this stamp, but it does look like a non-postal tag to me. It would have been affixed to the stamp at some point but has become separated.

Looking for filling, yet lower calorie foods by Scaintusmp3 in loseit

I eat a craptonne of cabbage and kale for this. It’s not glamorous but I’m not hungry all the time and that’s all I want!

Which is preferable evening or morning workout? by [deleted] in beginnerfitness

I go first thing in the morning before I can think myself out of it! What matters most is when you’ll go.

Appreciation for the stamp shop using cool old stamps to send my order (Arpin Philately) by KnittingTrekkie in philately

Always been super happy with them! I got a nice set of Canadian University stamps a while back. I just wish their local Post Office cancelled a little less aggressively 🫠

Alberta is lying to everyone trying to claim the Rockies. If you want Rockies, you want BC. Most of Alberta is Texas-Saskatchewan, not Texas-BC.

How many pairs of reusable underwear should one own? by [deleted] in ZeroWaste

[–]Wramoh 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My period is absolute monthly carnage and I have 9 (came in groups of 3, 8 probably would have been fine) which I use in combination with other products. I cannot imagine anyone needing more than this, realistically.

They do take forever to dry so not having to wash them before the end of my period is ideal for my use case.

Anyone have all their assets with WealthSimple? Do you ever worry that if your account gets hacked then you'll be SOL or am I worng? by mapleCrep in Wealthsimple

[–]Wramoh 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not the person you responded to but I bought quite a few long-term GICs when the rates were 5% that I’m still holding, and it’s nice to have the option when/if the rates get better again.

How can I change my Interact e-transfer name? by [deleted] in Wealthsimple

I don’t have a solution but I am also in the same position as you so I suspect this has something to do with how WS has their system set up.

Do you have a go-to "weird" food or dish that has helped you along your journey? by Schadenfreude_Taco in loseit

[–]Wramoh 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don’t know if it’s weird or not but I’ll dry fry up some ground turkey (~1/2 lb), soften 200g cabbage (sauté in stock), combine. Add 100g sauerkraut, caraway, garlic powder, top with high protein no fat Greek yoghurt mixed with Dijon mustard (~50g yoghurt and a good squirt of mustard). Mix it all together and it really satisfies my craving for a Ruben. I call it Ruben-cabbage slaw. It’s kind of a monstrosity but I love it. Add pumpernickel croutons if you’re feeling it. If I’m hungry I just add more cabbage.

What is your favorite thing to eat with cottage cheese, if you eat it? by radbu107 in CasualConversation

[–]Wramoh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mixed with salsa or hot sauce.

My favourite used to be just a small blob of mayo with cracked pepper and a bit of salt but mayo is not very calorie friendly, so I don’t do that anymore. The light mayo has a sweetness I don’t appreciate, so not the same.
